Singapore, 9 May 2005 - TV buffs, rejoice! From 21 May to 19 June 2005, they can look forward to an exciting line-up of action-packed movies, spine-tingling thrillers and riveting dramas on StarHub's Preview Channel – all for free!
This is the first time that StarHub is offering an extensive array of English programmes to viewers, round the clock and free-of-charge. Virtually all households in Singapore will be able to access the Preview Channel, regardless of whether they are subscribers of StarHub's cable TV services.
Those who tune-in to the Preview Channel during the special viewing period will also stand a chance to win $100 cash daily in a tune-in contest, simply by SMS-ing to StarHub the password that will be revealed during selected time-belts throughout the day.
The Preview Channel will run for 24 hours daily, with a live programme feed extracted from 21 English language channels that are carried by StarHub. The wide array of programmes on this channel will ensure that there is something to please every viewer's palate.

The 21 channels participating in StarHub's special one-off free viewing include Animal Planet, Animax, AXN, Cartoon Network, Cinemax, Discovery Channel, Discovery Health, Discovery H&L, Discovery Science, Discovery Travel & Living, Disney Channel, E! Entertainment, Hallmark Channel, HBO, National Geographic Channel, Nickelodeon, Playhouse Disney Channel, Reality TV, Star Movies, Star World and Turner Classic Movies.
Viewers can expect blockbuster hits from Star Movies and HBO, including X2: X-Men United (starring Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry), S.W.A.T. (starring Samuel L. Jackson and Colin Farrell), Bulletproof Monk (starring Chow Yun-Fat), Cold Creek Manor (starring Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone) and Seabiscuit (nominated for 7 Academy Awards and stars Tobey Maguire and Jeff Bridges).
Crime-fiction aficionados can also catch episodes from AXN's first season of CSI: New York which is currently aired by StarHub Digital Cable exclusively, while homebodies will enjoy tucking into My Restaurant Rules and Nigella Bites from Discovery Travel & Living.

Existing subscribers of StarHub Digital Cable can enjoy the Preview Channel on Channel 01, while non-subscribers can tune their TV sets manually to UHF 527.25 Mhz.
