StarHub dresses the Big Walk crowd

Goodies galore and all-paid prize trip to Australia from StarHub CableTV!

Singapore, 14 March -   Animals will be sighted at every nook and corner at this year's TNP Big Walk, thanks to StarHub.

StarHub, the official tee-shirt sponsor of the Big Walk 2003, will be producing as many as 83,000 tee-shirts which will carry either StarHub Mobile's Sparky mascot or StarHub CableTV's Penguin icon.  Both mascots were featured prominently in StarHub's advertising campaigns and were very well-received.

This is the third consecutive year StarHub is dressing up participants of the Big Walk.  According to Ms Iris Wee, StarHub's Director of Consumer Marketing, StarHub is delighted to be part of the walk, which has grown in stature and popularity throughout the years.  "StarHub is pleased to be part of SPH's efforts to promote a healthy lifestyle in Singapore," said Ms Wee.  "StarHub's role in the Big Walk definitely goes beyond our sponsorship of the tee-shirts.  As in previous years, we will line-up many exciting activities, to make the Big Walk even more fun and memorable for all participants."

Those interested in finding out what's the latest on StarHub CableTV can pop by StarHub's tent.  StarHub CableTV offers 40 international channels covering a comprehensive range of genres such as news, entertainment, sports, music and education.  Its most popular basic group is Education, made up of Animal Planet (Ch 10), National Geographic Channel (Ch 11), Discovery Channel (Ch 12) and Discovery Travel & Adventure (Ch 16).

StarHub CableTV will also be giving out "Fun Facts" postcards, featuring interesting nuggets of information, around the tents and stadium area on the day of the walk.  Each postcard will carry a series of questions, and the first 100 participants to present the correct answers at the StarHub tent will receive attractive StarHub CableTV collectibles.

That's not all StarHub has in store!  Participants are also encouraged to come to the Big Walk dressed as Animal Planet's well-known Aussie adventurer and TV personality, Steve Irwin. The most convincing and innovative dresser will win an all-paid trip to Australia, with the highlight being Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo in Brisbane.

So there may be more than dogs and penguins sighted at the TNP Big Walk this year.   Who knows, some local "Steve Irwins" may just bring along mock versions of fierce crocodiles and venomous snakes to take a step closer to the Australia Zoo!
