StarHub Internet Wins Second Time In A Row  

 

28 March 2000, Singapore -- StarHub Internet (Paid Service) is voted the best Internet Service Provider in an online poll conducted by CNET Singapore ( http://singapore.cnet.com ) . StarHub (Paid) has maintained its lead over the one-week period, commanding votes in the net reliability category. The overall results showed StarHub (Paid) ahead by 2 points over StarHub (Free), garnering 48 points out of a maximum of 100.

 

Not only has StarHub Internet (Paid) won in the Overall category and Network Reliability category (52 points), it has also won in the Customer Support (64 points) and Homepage categories (47 points) - a first for StarHub Internet in the last three categories since CNET Singapore launched its polls last December.

 

"StarHub Internet is delighted by the support received from the public and would like to express our thanks for their votes on the CNET poll. Singaporeans have shown their approval for StarHub Internet’s (Paid) reliability, who leads with 49 points in the Network Reliability category," said Mr Lim Seow Thong, Deputy General Manager, StarHub Internet. StarHub Internet (Free) is the leader in the Price category (over 90 points). In the other categories, it fared well too - second place in the Network Reliability category, second place in the Customer Support category and third place in the Homepage category. StarHub Internet (Free) was also tops in the Overall category in CNET’s last online poll in December.

 

The CNET Singapore’s ‘Incredible Service Provider’ award is the third award that StarHub Internet has received in the past four months. StarHub Internet first won the best ISP in the CNET Singapore poll last December. Earlier this month, it won the coveted ‘ISP of the Year’ award at the prestigious Internet World Asia Industry Awards organised by Penton Media and Internet World Magazine.
