Singapore, 2 June 2000 -- Strong wood accents, ponds with lily pads, aromatherapy, birds chirping, and soft natural music. StarHub, Singapore’s new info-communications player and one of the largest exhibitors at the Singapore Pavilion, will be recreating the ambience of a resort-lifestyle at its booth (Hall 6, #6B1-01) at CommunicAsia 2000.

Said Ms Shae Hung Yee, Assistant Vice-President, Corporate and Marketing Communications, StarHub, "The booth design reflects our brand qualities of being unconventional and refreshing. The spa resort theme exemplifies the relationship we have with our customers and how easy and relaxing it is to do business with us. StarHub is not just about hard technology. That, to us should be a ‘hygiene’ factor. It is about relationship. We want our visitors to go through a totally new and refreshing experience when they visit us."

Throughout the four-day exhibition, visitors to the StarHub booth will be able to view new innovative broadband, mobile data, wireless communications solutions that the info-communications company is showcasing at the show. There will be demonstrations on the third-generation (3G) network solution that StarHub is hoping to install in Singapore with Nokia, its iPower WAP solutions, and joint presentations with its partners including Nokia, Ortega, eInfoAsia.com and earth9.com, among many others. (Please see attached annex for more details).

Visitors will be able to experience the 3G future like sending electronic postcards, multimedia entertainment and video-conferencing – all interactively and in real-time. Or surf the Internet with no "strings" attached. Invited guests to the StarHub’s booth will also be given e-wallet accounts to "purchase" souvenirs at our "gift shop" located at the resort booth. This is aimed at providing StarHub’s visitors with a hands-on experience of the mobile lifestyle that can be made possible by StarHub’s m-commerce solutions.
