29 October 1999, Singapore -- WizOffice.com, a Singapore-based e-commerce company specializing in Internet office services, announced strategic tie-ups with CyberWay and DBS Card Centre, a move to reinforce its e-commerce capabilities. It has also acquired an integrated logistics company, CARGOEX LOGISTICS PTE LTD to provide order fulfillment for WizOffice customers. With these alliances, WizOffice intends to target its services to a potential base of 100,000 businesses in Singapore.

Following its August '99 launch, WizOffice has focused its efforts on enhancing its full range of e-commerce capabilities to provide a total value chain to its customers. With these alliances, WizOffice becomes one of the few e-commerce players offering a comprehensive and integrated range of seamless e-commerce services, ranging from Internet access, ordering of office products and services to logistics and order fulfillment and secure transactions.

"These practical internet functions, complemented by Cyberway's attractive Internet access packages, DBS Card Centre payment mechanisms and CargoEx's fulfillment capabilities, form WizOffice.com's Total E-commerce ValueTM concept," said Mr. Raphael Tham, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of WizOffice.com.

WizOffice currently has four services, online purchase of stationery and office supplies, recruitment, courier, and office mall. WizOffice also provides free web-based emails to its 8,000 company subscribers. Come November 1999, companies will also be able to post their tenders, auction their excess stocks, and check on the company background of their clients online in WizOffice.

Increase in Sales and Subscribers "We have already surpassed our year-end target of achieving 5,000 subscribers. With the significant developments made and more in the pipeline, we are confident of reaching our $3 million year-end target earlier than expected, and even exceed it," stated Mr. Tham.

To-date, WizOffice.com has attracted 8,000 subscribers and achieved a sales revenue of S$500,000 – a 60% increase from its S$300,000 turnover barely two months ago.
