Digital Voice Home and Digital Voice Global Subscription Terms and Conditions

  1. Subscribers of Digital Voice Home and Digital Voice Global services must be at least 18 years old.
  2. If an applicant is below 21 years old, holds the following foreign pass: Work Permit, Student Pass, DEP or LTSVP, and wishes to subscribe to StarHub IDD service, the subscriber must provide a guarantor who must be at least 21 years old and is either a Singapore citizen or permanent resident.
  3. An activation fee of $42.80 for each service is chargeable for the activation of the Digital Voice Home or Digital Voice Global service.
  4. A disconnection fee of $32.10 for each service will be imposed if the customer terminates his subscription to the Digital Voice Home or Digital Voice Global service within 3 months from the commencement of service.
  5. The unlimited free outgoing calls only apply to fixed and mobile numbers registered in Singapore. The unlimited free outgoing calls do not apply to premium rated service calls (e.g. 1900 number) and numbers as stated in the exclusion list, which will be chargeable at the prevailing charges.   6. Service calls are chargeable at $53.50 per visit.
  7. Installation service is chargeable at $53.50 per connection. Alternatively, delivery of the voice-enabled cable modem (VeCM) or integrated access device (IAD) is chargeable at $12.84 per trip to the same service address.
  8. A minimum of 2 workings days is required to activate the barring of StarHub IDD service.
  9. Customers are required to purchase their own integrated access device (IAD) for access to the Digital Voice Global service, or their own type-approved voice-enabled cable modem (VeCM) or IADs for access to the Digital Voice Home service.
  10. Type approved IAD or VeCM can be purchased from StarHub or any StarHub Shop.
  11. StarHub will not be responsible for any defect of the IAD or VeCM. Any defect of the IAD/VeCM will be covered under the manufacturer's warranty only.
  12. The minimum contractual period for Digital Voice Home or Digital Voice Global service is 3 months.
  13. StarHub will not be responsible for the IAD / VeCM or any related hardware or software comprised therein, or any loss or damage caused by or as a result of the use of the IAD / VeCM, hardware or software, whether in conjunction with the Digital Voice Home or Digital Voice Global service or not.

  15. StarHub reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or any other promotional terms and conditions (including pricing plans) at its discretion and without notice. Use of the Digital Voice Global service will constitute acceptance of such terms and conditions and the amendments thereof.

Digital Voice Home Promotional Terms and Conditions for MaxOnline/MaxInfinity/Starhub TV Customers

(With effect from 1 September 2012)

  1. With effect from 1 September 2012, Digital Voice Home will be available to eligible customers at a promotional rate of $2.10 charge per month (discounted from the prevailing rate of $10.49 per month) until 31 December 2013 (“New Promotion”). Thereafter, prevailing rates will apply.
  2. All MaxOnline/MaxInfinity postpaid customers and StarHub TV customers with a minimum subscription of 3 Basic Groups who were under the complimentary Digital Voice Home Promotion prior to 1 September 2012 will be automatically migrated to this New Promotion.
  3. Only MaxOnline/MaxInfinity/StarHub TV customers who maintain an active MaxOnline/MaxInfinity/StarHub TV subscription will be eligible for the New Promotion rate. The rates for Digital Voice Home under the New Promotion will cease to be applicable when the customer’s MaxOnline/MaxInfinity/StarHub TV service(s) cease. Thereafter, the customer will be billed for Digital Voice Home service(s) at StarHub’s prevailing rates.
  4. Each Customer is only eligible for a single Digital Voice Home service per service address under the New Promotion rate, regardless of the number of MaxOnline/MaxInfinity/StarHub TV services subscribed. Subsequent lines will each be chargeable at the prevailing rate of $10.49 per month.
  5. The New Promotion is not applicable for customers: (i) with outstanding payments on their MaxOnline, MaxInfinity, Starhub TV, StarHub Mobile, IDD or Digital Voice services; and (ii) whose residential Singapore addresses which are not allowed to subscribe to the Digital Voice services.
  6. The New Promotion is not valid with other in-house promotions, unless otherwise specified by StarHub.
  7. The selection of the Value-Added Services must be done at the point of sale to enjoy the waiver of the Value-Added Services activation fee.
  8. All prices quoted include GST.
  9. In additional to these terms and conditions, StarHub General Terms & Conditions and the relevant Service Specific Terms and Conditions apply (collectively “Terms & Conditions”).
  10. StarHub reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at its absolute discretion and without notice. Participation in this New Promotion or use of StarHub services will constitute acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and the amendments thereof.

Free 3 months Value Bundle/Value Pack for Digital Voice Home/Digital Voice Global Terms and Conditions

  1. This promotion is valid from 20 April 2006 onwards till such date, as StarHub may determine.
  2. This promotion is only applicable for new subscriptions to Digital Voice Home and Digital Voice Global services.
  3. This promotion is only applicable for the first 3 months of subscription. Thereafter, prevailing monthly subscription rates applies.
  4. This promotion is valid for MaxOnline/StarHub TV customers who are also eligible for the current new Digital Voice Home promotion or Digital Voice Global subscription for each MaxOnline/StarHub TV subscription and free Number Retention promotion.
  5. This promotion is not applicable on an existing Digital Voice Home or Digital Voice Global subscription.
  6. Not applicable for customers with outstanding payments on their MaxOnline, StarHub TV, StarHub Mobile or IDD bill.
  7. An activation fee of $42.80 is required for each new Digital Voice Home or Digital Voice Global subscription.
  8. A disconnection fee of $32.10 for each service is applicable if customer terminates the Digital Voice Home or Digital Voice Global service within the first three months of subscription.
  9. Prevailing Digital Voice Home or Digital Voice Global subscription rate will apply if customer terminates the MaxOnline/StarHub TV monthly access plan.
  10. This promotion is not valid with other in-house promotions, unless otherwise specified by StarHub.
  11. StarHub’s prevailing terms & conditions for MaxOnline, Starhub TV and Digital Voice Home and/or Digital Voice Global services also apply.
  12. StarHub reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at its discretion and without notice.
  13. Participation in this promotion or use of StarHub services will constitute acceptance of such terms and conditions and the amendments thereof.

Caller Number Display Promotion for Digital Voice Home Terms and Conditions

  1. This Promotion is valid from 17 October 2009 onwards till such date, as StarHub may solely determine.
  2. This Promotion is only applicable for new subscriptions to Digital Voice Home service.
  3. The Promotion is only valid at the point of signing up for the Digital Voice Home service.
  4. The free subscription of the selected Value-added service is only applicable for the first 12 months of continuous subscription of Caller Number Display. Thereafter, the prevailing monthly subscription rates for the Value-added service apply. The duration of 12 months of continuous subscription will not be extended under any circumstances.
  5. The free subscription of the selected Value-added service is only applicable to one of the following :
    • Caller Number Non-Display
    • Call Waiting
    • Call Divert Plus
    • Incoming Call Barring
  6. The Value-added service for the free subscription must be selected at the point of signing up for the Digital Voice Home service and cannot be changed to another Value-added service thereafter.
  7. The free subscription of the selected Value-added service and Caller Number Display must be applied to the same Digital Voice Home service line. 
  8. Continuous subscription to the Digital Voice Home service line is required to be eligible for the free subscription of the selected Value-added service. 
  9. Unutilized free subscription is non-refundable and not exchangeable for cash, kind or other StarHub services.
  10. This promotion is valid for MaxOnline/StarHub TV customers who are also eligible for the new Digital Voice Home promotion for each MaxOnline/StarHub TV subscription and free Number Retention promotion.
  11. Not applicable for customers with outstanding payments on their MaxOnline, StarHub TV, StarHub Mobile or IDD bill. StarHub reserves the right to determine the eligibility of any customer for the Promotion.
  12. An activation fee of $42.80 is required for each new Digital Voice Home subscription.
  13. A disconnection fee of $32.10 for each  line iis applicable if customer terminates the Digital Voice Home service within the first three months of subscription.
  14. Prevailing Digital Voice Home subscription rate will apply if customer terminates the MaxOnline/StarHub TV monthly access plan.
  15. This Promotion is not valid with other in-house promotions, unless otherwise specified by StarHub.
