  1. What is StarHub TV on Mobile?
    StarHub TV on Mobile is a value-added service (VAS) by StarHub Mobile which allows mobile postpaid customers to watch selected StarHub TV channels 'live' via their mobile phone.
  2. Who can use StarHub TV on Mobile?
    This value-added service (VAS) is available to all StarHub Mobile postpaid customers who are using handsets which support StarHub TV on Mobile streaming via Gee!/WAP.
  3. How much do I have to pay to subscribe to StarHub TV on Mobile?
    StarHub TV on Mobile is available on a monthly subscription basis at $26.75/mth (inclusive of GST). Alternatively, customers can subscribe to StarHub TV on Mobile on a per-day basis at $1.00 (inclusive of GST) which allows unlimited access for 24 hours only.
  4. Do I enjoy free subscription of StarHub TV on Mobile if I'm an active StarHub TV Sports Group subscriber?
    StarHub Mobile postpaid customers with an active StarHub TV Sports Group subscription (under the same service address and NRIC) can enjoy free subscription of StarHub TV on Mobile until 30 June 2012.
  5. Do I need to pay GPRS charges when accessing StarHub TV on Mobile?
    Subscribers of StarHub TV on Mobile can enjoy unlimited access to the live streaming channels (depending on whether they are on a monthly subscription or daily subscription) with no additional GPRS charges. However, usual roaming GPRS charges will apply if this service is used overseas.
  6. How can I access StarHub TV on Mobile?
    To access StarHub TV on Mobile, simply log on to the Gee! WAP portal and click on the StarHub TV on Mobile link to access the channels.
  7. Can I sign up for StarHub TV on Mobile and use it on any mobile phone?
    The StarHub TV on Mobile streaming service is handset dependent. Thus, customers should refer to the list of supported handsets before they sign up for the service to make sure their handsets can support the service.
  8. Why is it that I can only view 16 channels instead of the full suite of 33 channels for StarHub TV on Mobile on tablet devices?
    There are upstream content rights issues for access of content on tablet devices, which need to be addressed with our content partners. We are constantly working with our content partners to try to extend access of content rights to new technological devices such as tablets, and will continue to do so for the remaining 17 channels.
  9. I can't seem to access the StarHub TV on Mobile WAP site. What could be the problem?
    There could be various reasons why you might not be able to access StarHub TV on Mobile service.

    Please check that you have activated Gee! on your mobile number. Please also check that your mobile phone GPRS settings are correct before trying again. You will need to select the "GEE! 3G/GPRS" access point in order to use StarHub TV on Mobile service.

  10. What is the access point to be used for accessing the StarHub TV on Mobile service?
    The "GEE! 3G/GPRS" access point must be selected to use the StarHub TV on Mobile service. You will not be able to access the StarHub TV on Mobile service if you connect via Wi-Fi or "StarHub Internet" access point settings.

For Prepaid Customers

  1. What is this StarHub TV on Mobile (Prepaid)?
    StarHub TV on Mobile is a value-added service applicable to StarHub Prepaid customers using 3G Prepaid SIM card, including GREEN Prepaid EZ Travel and MaxMobile Prepaid SIM card.

    This value-added service allows customers to watch selected StarHub TV channels ‘live’ wherever they go via their compatible handsets.
  2. Can I sign up for StarHub TV on Mobile and use it on any mobile phone?
    StarHub TV on Mobile streaming service is handset dependent, customers should refer to the list of supported handsets before they sign up for the service to make sure their handsets can support the service.
  3. Do I need to pay for this service?
    Yes, there will be a daily charge of $2.00 and upon successfully subscription, customer will be able to enjoy 24-hours of unlimited access to the available channels.
  4. Do I need to have a minimum amount in my card’s main balance before I can subscribe to this service?
    Yes, a minimum balance of $3 is required in your card’s main balance before you can successfully subscribe to this service.
  5. Will the subscription be automatically renewed?
    No, once the 24-hours is up, user will not be able to continue accessing the service. Customer will need to re-subscribe if he/she would like to continue with the service.
  6. Will there be notification to inform me that my subscription is up?
    No, no notification will be sent.
  7. Can I access StarHub TV on mobile while Roaming in Overseas?
    Yes, you may access StarHub TV on Mobile while roaming.

    Usual roaming GPRS charges apply if StarHub TV on Mobile service is used overseas.
  8. Will I be charged for data usage while accessing StarHub TV on Mobile?
    No, there will not be any data charges upon successful subscription and accessing of StarHub TV on Mobile in Singapore.
    Pls note that accessing Prepaid Gee! is still chargeable at prevailing GPRS charges.
  9. The daily charge will be deducted from my card’s main balance?
    Deduction of the charge for StarHub TV on Mobile will be from the card’s main balance only.
  10. Is there a need for a minimum amount in my main balance before I can subscribe to this service?
    No, as long as your main balance is sufficient for deduction, you will still be able to subscribe for this service.
  11. I tried to subscribe to this service but I keep receiving this notification “Sorry, this service is only applicable to StarHub Prepaid users using a 3G SIM card”, why is this so?
    As this service is only applicable to StarHub Prepaid customer with 3G Prepaid SIM, your 2G Prepaid SIM is not applicable to access this service.
    Otherwise, you can manually select to a 3G network before trying to subscribe again.
  12. I can’t seem to access the StarHub TV on Mobile WAP site. What could be the problem?

  13. What is the access point to be used for accessing the StarHub TV on Mobile service?
    You need to select "Prepaid GEE! 3G/GPRS" access point to use the StarHub TV on Mobile service. Connecting to the StarHub TV on Mobile application via Wi-Fi and "StarHub Internet" access point settings is not supported.
  14. If that is the case, how would I know if I’m a 2G or 3G Prepaid SIM user?
    We just launched 3G GREEN Prepaid SIM in mid July 2009, so if you purchased your card earlier than the launched date, you should be holding a 2G SIM card.
  15. Can I upgrade my 2G SIM to 3G SIM?
    Sorry, there is no upgrading of SIM available. If you like to have a 3G Prepaid SIM, you will need to purchase it from StarHub Shops and the normal registration process will be conducted.
