Activation
Activate your GREEN Prepaid Roaming service before leaving Singapore. You will not be able to activate the service while overseas.
Key *111# and press SEND.
Alternatively, you can call 1633 to activate Prepaid Roaming.
How to make a prepaid roaming call while you're overseas
There are two ways to make a prepaid roaming call when overseas: 1) with GlobalRoam *123* or 2) with Direct Dial service.
Note: A minimum card balance of S$8 is required for this. For details on the charges, please refer to the Prepaid Roaming Rates Table.
GlobalRoam *123*
GlobalRoam *123* is a global call back service and it allows prepaid roaming customers to make cost-effective voice calls when overseas. For a list of destinations and cost of calls, please refer here.
To make a call from overseas, dial
*123*<country code><area code><tel. no.># and press SEND
E.g. To call telephone number 2893 1234 in Hong Kong,
dial *123*85228931234# and press SEND
To make a call to a Singapore number, dial
*123* 65 <tel. no.> # and press SEND
E.g. To call telephone number 61234567,
dial *123* 65 61234567 # and press SEND
If your request has been delivered to StarHub, your phone will display "Thank you. Your request is being processed". An attempt will be made to contact the telephone number you wish to call. Wait for your phone to ring. Charges for initiating the Prepaid *123* call will begin once you pick up the callback. Answer the call and you will be connected. If the connection cannot be made, you will receive an SMS message.
Direct Dial
Direct Dial service is available at selected countries and mobile network. For a list of destinations, participating networks and cost of calls, please refer here.
To make a call from overseas, dial
+<country code><area code><tel. no> and press SEND
E.g. To call telephone number 2893 1234 in Hong Kong,
dial +85228931234 and press SEND
To make a call to a Singapore number, dial
+65<tel no.> and Press SEND

dial +6561234567 and press SEND
To Receive Calls While You Are Overseas
Note: No minimum card balance is imposed. Details on the charges, please refer to the Prepaid Roaming Rates Table.
You receive and answer your incoming calls while overseas the same way as you receive calls when you are in Singapore.
To send an SMS while you are overseas to a Singapore mobile phone number:
- compose the message
- press ‘SEND'
- key in Singapore mobile number
- press ‘OK'
E.g. To send an SMS to a Singapore mobile phone number 9123 4567,
dial +65 9123 4567 and press OK
To send an SMS to an international mobile number while you are overseas:
- compose the message
- press ‘SEND'
- key in <+><country/area code><mobile number>
- press 'OK'
E.g. To send an SMS to a telephone number 2893 1234 in Hongkong,
dial +852 2893 1234 and press OK
Note: Message sent without the ‘+' will not reach the International mobile number successfully.
To Top-Up with Top-Up Cards While You Are Overseas
To top up your GREEN Prepaid card while overseas, first purchase a Happy Prepaid Top-Up Card available at any StarHub Shop, Preferred Partner outlet or 7-Eleven/Cheers store before leaving Singapore. Then top-up as per method below:
Dial *112* <top-up card number (10 digits)> * <PIN number (6 digits)> #
and press SEND
Upon a successful top-up, you will receive a message informing you of your new cardl balance and your new card expiry date.
Each time you top up your GREEN Prepaid SIM card, the expiry date of the card will be reset to 6 months from the date of the top-up.
To Do An Electronic Top-Up While You Are Overseas
You can now top-up your GREEN Prepaid card using your credit cards*, eNETS VCard or Debit Cards while you are overseas.
To top up online, simply click here and follow the simple instructions on screen to complete the transaction.
Each time you top up your GREEN Prepaid SIM card, the expiry date of the card will be reset to 6 months from the date of the top-up.
*Note: Only credit cards issued from Singapore can be used.
To Check Card Balance While You Are Overseas
Dial *113# and press SEND
You will then receive an SMS message informing you of your remaining card balance and card expiry date.
Upon completion of each successful call, an SMS will be sent to you, informing you of your card balance and expiry date.
Note:
- Prepaid Roaming service for making calls is only available in destinations where the foreign operators' networks support this service. StarHub is not able to guarantee the availability of this service with the foreign operators' network. For list of supported destinations/networks, please refer here.
- Prepaid Roaming service for sending SMS is available in the destinations/networks where the International Roaming service is available. For list of the supported International Roaming destinations/networks, please refer here.
- Caller Number Display will not be available when the GREEN Prepaid customer is overseas.
