  1. What is the new enhanced StarHub Menu?
    The enhanced StarHub Menu is a SIM Application Toolkit based service that allows user to access suites of StarHub's Information & Entertainment Services via a simple Menu Navigation. Enhanced StarHub Menu works on all GSM Phase 2+ mobile phones. With enhanced StarHub Menu, StarHub Subscribers no longer have to remember the various command keywords and port number to send to. Enhanced StarHub Menu also allows StarHub Subscribers to personalize, and download new services, as well as introducing friends to various interesting Information and Entertainment services that StarHub offers. Subscribers can customize their Menu via their handset as well as on the web. Service categories available for StarHub Menu are Lottery, Movies, Financial, Sports, News, Lifestyle, Fun Downloads and Travel.

    StarHub Menu is located at different part of your phone menu depending on the model:

  3. What is the difference between the old StarHub Menu and the new enhanced StarHub Menu?
    New enhanced StarHub Menu allows subscriber to personalize their Menu, adding in new services or deleting services for faster access to desired Information. It also has more Information and Entertainment Services available to the subscribers.
  4. How do I know if I am using the old StarHub Menu or the new enhanced StarHub Menu?
    Go to your StarHub Menu, and if you only have only 3 Categories of Services ( Personal, Info Svcs, Financial ), you have the old StarHub Menu.
  5. How can I get the new enhanced StarHub Menu?
    You will have to visit StarHub's Customer Service Centre to upgrade your SIM Card to a new SIM card at a charge of $21.40 per card.
  6. Will I be charged for using enhanced StarHub Menu Services?
    Yes, you will be charged for accessing various Information and Entertainment Services available on enhanced StarHub Menu. However, there is no charge for personalizing your menu. Refer to more details in next section on Adding & Deleting Services.

Accessing Enhanced StarHub Menu Service

  1. What are the Services available?
    Entertainment and Information Services of various categories (Lottery, Movies, Financial, Sports, News, Lifestyle, Fun Downloads and Travel) are available to StarHub Mobile Postpaid subscribers on their enhanced StarHub Menu.
  2. Will I be able to access enhanced StarHub Menu Services if I am a Prepaid subscriber?
    Yes, prepaid subscribers are able to access some limited number of Entertainment and Information Services available on enhanced StarHub Menu as well but they are not able to personalize their StarHub Menu.
  3. How do I access the service available on enhanced StarHub Menu?
    Enhanced StarHub Menu is presented with a very simple and easy to use interface, very much like the menu of your phone. You just have to click and follow the menu available to request for Entertainment and Information Services that you desire, without having to remember any keyword or port number to send to.
  4. How do I know that a reply to my query is received?
    It is the same as receiving an SMS message. You'll receive a "message received" alert on your mobile phone for every StarHub Menu reply. The sender's address will vary depending on the service you have requested for.
  5. On average, how long does it take to receive a reply for each query?
    It will only take a short while to receive a reply. However, the response may be delayed if you are out of the mobile network coverage area.
  6. There are times where I don't get a reply from a valid request, why is it so?
    Your SIM card memory may be filled with saved SMS. Thus, you are unable to receive any new replies until you delete some of your stored SMS messages.
  7. Will the StarHub Menu prompt me if I key in the wrong inputs?
    Services under enhanced StarHub Menu have been designed to require less user input from you to ensure fast information access at your fingertips. For Services that require inputs, StarHub Menu does not prompt you for wrong inputs immediately, however, it will send an error reply back to you for any wrong entry.
  8. Why is it that when I am going through the enhanced StarHub Menu categories, my phone says that SMS has been sent?
    This only happens the very first time you use enhanced StarHub Menu. An SMS will be send back to our system to automatically register you. You will not be charged for this SMS.

Customizing Menu: Adding & Deleting Services

  1. How do I add services to my enhanced StarHub Menu?
    Go to the "setting" menu under each category, click on the "add service" item and select the service you would like to add. Request will be sent to get the new service. "Menu Download!" will be displayed as a flash message after the new service is added.
  2. How do I delete services in my enhanced StarHub Menu?
    Go to the "setting" menu under each category, click on the "delete service" item and select the service you would like to delete. Service will be deleted from the card with the "Deleted!" message displayed. Click ok to proceed.
  3. I tried to add a new service but the phone tells me "Your menu is full. To add new service, please remove"
    This means the number of services in the particular Category has exceeded 14. Thus, by removing the service/services, this will give you the sufficient slot/slots to add other service/services.
  4. How many services can I add at one time?
    You can only add 1 service at a time.
  5. How long does it take for a service to be added into my enhanced StarHub Menu?
    The average time is from 30 sec to 1 min depending on the size of the service. However, if you are not in the network coverage area, the addition of the service will be delayed.
  6. How many services can I delete at one time?
    You can only delete 1 service at a time.
  7. Can I delete the enhanced StarHub Menu Category?
    No, you cannot delete the Dynamic StarHub Menu Category.
  8. How do I know what are the services available to add?
    You can go to the "setting" menu under each Category and click on the select item "Add Service". You will be able to see the services available to add. Alternatively, you can also do this via web.
  9. How do I load new service list via mobile?
    Go to the "setting" menu under each category, click on the "load list" item and wait until "List Updated!" message is displayed as a flash message. After that, navigate to "add service" under "setting" menu, you should find new services appear in the list if new services are available.
  10. How do I get to know if there are new services being offered?
    Go to the "setting" menu under each category, click on the "load list" item and wait until "List Updated!" message is displayed as a flash message. After which, navigate to "add service" under "setting" menu, you should find new services appearing in the list if new services are available.

Service Forwarding

  1. What is Service Forwarding?
    This is a function for you to recommend useful services to your friend.
  2. How do I recommend a service to my friend via Service Forwarding?
    Go to the "setting" menu under each category, click on the "forward service" item and select the service you would like to forward. Key in the mobile number or select it from the phone book and then click ok. A process notification from the system will be sent to you as a normal SMS.
  3. Will I be charged for forwarding a service to my friend?
    No, you will not be charged for forwarding a service to your friend.
  4. Will my friend be charged for receiving a service that I have recommended via Service Forwarding?
    No, your friend will not be charged for receiving and adding on the service recommended by you via Service Forwarding.
  5. My friend is not a StarHub Mobile Subscriber, can I forward the service to him?
    No, enhanced StarHub Menu is only available to StarHub Mobile subscribers.
  6. How do I accept a forwarded service?
    If you receive a forwarded service, you just need to click ok to accept it or click cancel to reject it.

Web Personalization

  1. Where can I find out all about the services available for enhanced StarHub Menu to download?
    You can find the services under each category at "Select Your Content" section.
  2. How do I access enhanced StarHub Menu's website?
    If you have a Gee! Account, you can personalize the StarHub Menu at www.starhub.com/gee.
  3. Will I be charged for adding or deleting a service?
    No, you will not be charged for adding or deleting a service via the web.
  4. How do I add new services?
    Click on the service you would like to add on the StarHub Menu and then click on the add button. Finally, click the save button to proceed with the changes.
  5. How do I delete new services?
    Click on the service you would like to delete on the mobile simulator and then click on the remove button. Finally, click the save button to proceed with the changes.
  6. When shall I use synchronisation?
    The synchronisation feature allows you to synchronize the services available on the mobile to be similar on the phone simulator of the web. You may use this function when you find the services on your mobile phone is not in sync with the web display.
  7. When do I use the reload button?
    Reload button will help to reset the services after performing the changes (add/remove) on the web page. However, this can only be done before the changes are saved via the save button.

  1. Does the StarHub Menu work on all phones?
    Enhanced StarHub Menu is supported by almost all GSM Phase 2+ phones in the market.
  2. Why do I need a GSM Phase 2+ phone to experience the StarHub Menu?
    This is because the StarHub Menu was developed in line with the advanced SIM Tool Kit Application technology, based on the GSM standard.
  3. Are these mobile phones readily available and are they more expensive?
    These mobile phones are readily available in the market. In fact, all new mobile phone models from leading mobile phone vendors are Phase 2+ enabled and they are very affordable.
