  1. I am not a StarHub subscriber. Can I send a WebSMS from my PC?
    Yes, you can. Just go to the Message Centre.
  2. Can I send a WebSMS to non-StarHub subscribers?
    No. You can only send a WebSMS to StarHub Mobile numbers.
  3. Will I be charged if I send a WebSMS from the website accessed on my PC?
    No, it is free.
  4. I am a StarHub Mobile subscriber. I have received a WebSMS. Can I reply to the sender? How much will I be charged?
    Yes, you can reply to the sender. Just click the "reply" menu in your phone and you can reply to the SMS the usual way you send an SMS. Each SMS reply from your mobile phone in excess of the free bundled SMS will be charged at StarHub's existing outgoing SMS rate of 5.35 cents each.
  5. Where and how can I access the WebSMS service?
    You can access WebSMS from the Mobile homepage under Related Link> Send SMS Online. or go to the Message Centre. Alternatively, you can click on "Send SMS: from your PC" on the Gee! Messaging landing page. The WebSMS application page will appear on both options, you may then proceed to use the service accordingly.
  6. I am already at the application page of the WebSMS service, but I am still not clear on how to use it. Can you help me?
    From the WebSMS application page, you only need to
    • Key in the recipients’ mobile number;
    • Key in your name (this is required before you can send your message);
    • Key in your message; and
    • Click "Send" button.
  7. After I click the "Send" button, a pop-up window appears. What is it? And how do I use it?
    It is an SMS session pop-up box. The internet user can use the box to send and receive SMS from the mobile user. The pop-up box will display the sender's own (outgoing) message and the recipient's incoming message. The outgoing and incoming messages will be displayed in different colours (outgoing is in blue and incoming is in green). .
  8. If I want to end my SMS session, what should I do?
    You are advised to click the "End SMS session" button. The SMS session with the mobile user will be ended. At the same time, the application will automatically send an SMS notification to the mobile user to inform him/her that you have ended the SMS session with him/her and his/her reply will no longer reach you.
  9. If I end the SMS session, can I still receive any incoming SMS to my PC?
    No, if you end the SMS session by clicking the "End SMS session" button, any incoming SMS will no longer be delivered to your PC. However, the application will automatically send an SMS notification to the mobile user to inform him/her that you have ended the SMS session with him/her and his/her reply will no longer reach you. The mobile user is also advised to send messages to your mobile phone number instead if he/she wishes to continue sending SMS to you. If there is no activity on the WebSMS service for 15 minutes, any ongoing SMS session will be ended automatically.
  10. Can I use WebSMS to send messages to multiple mobile users?
    No. You can only hold one session at any and the SMS session pop-up box can only be used to send SMS to one mobile user.
  11. Will I be able to block from receiving incoming SMS from WebSMS service?
    Yes, you can send an SMS with the keyword "block" to 0900 to block incoming SMS from the WebSMS service. Each SMS will utilise the normal SMS bundle and any SMS send beyond the free SMS bundle will be subject to the usual SMS charges
  12. Will I be able to unblock incoming SMS from the WebSMS service?
    In order to unblock incoming SMS from the WebSMS service, you can send an SMS with the keyword "unblock" to 0900. Each SMS will utilise the normal SMS bundle and any SMS send beyond the free SMS bundle will be subject to the usual SMS charges.
