  1. What does the cross carriage of 2014 FIFA World CupTM mean?
    SingTel has acquired the exclusive broadcast rights to 2014 FIFA World CupTM. In accordance with the Media Market Code of Conduct, SingTel will make the 2014 FIFA World CupTM matches available to customers on the StarHub TV set-top box.

Pricing & Packaging

  1. How much is the subscription for 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack and how many channels will I get?
    A total of 2 channels (on StarHub TV Channel 223 & Channel 224) will be made available with the 2014 FIFA World Cup Pack. The FIFA World Cup Pack is priced at $112.35 (w/GST).

  2. What are the channels available as part of the 2014 FIFA World CupTM via StarHub set-top box and which channels can I watch the World Cup matches on?
    A total of 2 channels will be available as part of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Pack via StarHub set-top box. The World Cup matches will be shown on StarHub TV Channel 223 & Channel 224.

  3. What are the SingTel channels I can subscribe and watch on my StarHub TV set-top box?
    Only mio Stadium+ Pack channels and 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack channels can be subscribed and cross carried on StarHub TV set-top box.

    You will not be able to subscribe to other SingTel channels on your StarHub TV set-top box.

  4. Will there be any commitment period and any early termination charge if I were to terminate my 2014 FIFA World CupTM subscription?
    The packaging and its subscription charge for the 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack is determined by SingTel.

Billing

  1. Will the subscription to the 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack be charged under my StarHub TV monthly bill?
    No. All subscription charges in relation to the 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack will be billed directly by SingTel to the customer. For other StarHub channels, subscription charges will continue to be billed directly by StarHub.

  1. Can I watch the 2014 FIFA World CupTM matches on StarHub TV?
    Yes, the 2014 FIFA World CupTM matches will be made available to customers who wish to access it through StarHub TV set-top boxes.

    To subscribe to the 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack and watch it on your StarHub set-top box, please ensure that you have your StarHub TV Subscription ID and the NRIC/FIN no. of the StarHub TV subscriber ready before visiting any SingTel retail shops or contacting SingTel Sales hotline.

    We strongly encourage you to submit your request before 6 June 2014 so as to ensure that the 2014 FIFA World CupTM channels will be activated by 13 June 2014 (opening match).

    Yes, you will be able to subscribe to 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack with your StarHub TV Lite subscription.

    2014 FIFA World Cup™ will be available via mio TV GO for all subscribers of 2014 FIFA World Cup™ Pack.
  1. I am subscribed to mio Stadium+ Pack cross carried on StarHub TV, when and which channel can I watch the World Cup 2014 matches?
    2014 FIFA World CupTM is available as a separate pack from the mio Stadium+ Pack. If you have not signed up to the 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack, please contact SingTel Sales Hotline or visit any of the SingTel retail shops.

  5. Why do I need to contact SingTel for the subscription to the 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack?
    As SingTel owns the broadcast rights for the 2014 FIFA World CupTM, customers who wish to watch the matches on their StarHub TV set top boxes or mio TV set-top boxes will need to sign up directly with SingTel.

    Your 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack subscription will be billed directly by SingTel. For other StarHub channels, subscription charges will continue to be billed directly by StarHub.

  6. I am currently subscribed to mio Stadium+ Pack, do I need to provide my StarHub Subscription ID to SingTel again? If yes, why is this so?
    All customers, who wish to subscribe to the 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack, are required to provide the subscription ID during the sign-up process. This is to verify and ensure your 2014 FIFA World CupTM subscription will be activated on your StarHub set-top box.

  7. Do I need to subscribe to both mio TV and StarHub TV to enjoy the complete coverage?
    No, you can choose to subscribe to watch the 2014 FIFA World CupTM matches either through StarHub TV set-top box or mio TV set-top box. In either case, you will enjoy complete coverage of all the live matches on your set-top box.

  8. If I have both StarHub TV and mio TV in my house, does it mean that I will only need to subscribe to the 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack on either service and get to enjoy it on both boxes?
    No, you can choose to sign up on either your StarHub TV set-top box or mio TV set-top box. The 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack will only be available on the set-top box which you have signed up for.

    If you have more than one StarHub TV set-top boxes under the same subscription, you can enjoy the World Cup matches on all your respective StarHub TV set-top boxes.

  9. I have more than one StarHub TV set-top box.  Will the 2014 FIFA World CupTM channels be available on all my set-top boxes? Is SingTel allowed to charge me extra for each set-top box receiving the 2014 FIFA World CupTM channels?
    Once you have subscribed to the 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack on your StarHub TV set-top box, there will be no additional charges to catch the 2014 FIFA World CupTM matches on any other StarHub TV set-top boxes you might have registered under the same StarHub TV service.

Activation

  1. When will my 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack on StarHub TV be activated?
     
    If you have signed up before 21 May 2014, the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ channels will be activated by 3 June 2014 upon the successful provisioning of your request.. You will be informed via SMS of the status of your activation. If you have signed up on or after 6 June 2014, the 2014 FIFA World CupTM channels will be activated at least 5 working days once your subscription request has been successfully provisioned.

    If you have signed up on / after 21 May 2014, the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ channels will be activated at least 5 working days upon the successful provisioning of your request. You will be informed via SMS of your successful activation.  
     
    Your 2014 FIFA World Cup™ Pack subscription will be billed directly by SingTel when the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ Pack has been activated on your StarHub TV set-top box.

  2. When will the World Cup programmes be available on the 2014 FIFA World CupTM channels?
    The live telecast of the opening ceremony followed by first match will be on 13 June 2014 from 1am.

  3. How will I know if my subscription to 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack is successful?
    The 2014 FIFA World CupTM channels will be activated by 13 June 2014 if you have submitted your request before 6 June 2014.

    If you have signed up on or after 6 June 2014, the 2014 FIFA World CupTM channels will be activated at least 5 working days once your subscription request has been successfully provisioned.

    Once your subscription has been successfully provisioned, you will receive a confirmation SMS from SingTel.

  4. Why is my request for the 2014 FIFA World CupTM subscription successful when I am unable to watch the 2014 FIFA World CupTM channels on my Digital / HubStation set-top box?
    The 2014 FIFA World CupTM matches will be broadcast in High Definition (HD) and you will need a HD set-top box to watch the channels.

    If you are currently using a Standard Definition (SD) i.e. digital set-top box or HubStation, please call 1633 to arrange to have your set-top box changed. Alternatively, you can also change your set-top boxes at any StarHub Shops, Customer Service Centres or Exclusive Partners.

    We strongly encourage you change out your Standard Definition (SD) i.e. digital set-top box or HubStation before 13 June 2014, so that you will be able to catch the 2014 FIFA World CupTM channels starting from the opening match.

  5. I’ve received a SMS notification that my 2014 FIFA World CupTM subscription to view via my StarHub TV set-top box has been rejected. Should I contact SingTel or StarHub?
    Please refer to the rejection SMS sent to you and follow the instruction indicated in the SMS.

Viewing

  1. Is there any difference between watching the 2014 FIFA World CupTM matches on mio TV and StarHub TV?
    There is no difference in the content or viewing experience of the 2014 FIFA World CupTM telecast for customers watching on StarHub TV set-top boxes or mio TV set-top boxes. The 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack subscription will only be available on the set-top box which you have signed up for.

    As the broadcast rights are acquired exclusively, the 2014 FIFA World CupTM will not be available on StarHub TV Anywhere.

    The 2014 FIFA World CupTM matches will be broadcast in High Definition (HD) and you will need a HD set-top box to watch the channels.

    If you are currently using a Standard Definition (SD) i.e. digital set-top box or HubStation, please call 1633 to arrange to have your set-top box changed. Alternatively, you can also change your set-top boxes at any StarHub Shops, Customer Service Centres or Exclusive Partners.

  3. I am subscribed to mio Stadium+ Pack that is cross carried on StarHub TV. Why am I unable to watch anything on Channel 232 & Ch 233?
    From 12 May 2014, mio Stadium 107 & 108 (StarHub TV Channel 232 & Channel 233) will be removed due to the BPL off peak season as it is no longer required. The channels will be reinstated in August 2014 to cater the simulcast of the BPL matches when the new BPL season commences.

    Following the season finale of the 2013/2014 BPL season, there are no longer live matches and no content will be shown on mio Stadium 103 – 108 (StarHub TV Ch 228 – Ch 233). mio Stadium+ Pack subscribers can continue to enjoy the repeat telecast of the BPL matches on mio Stadium 102 (StarHub TV Ch 227).

  4. Why are you ceasing Channel 232 & Ch 233?
    mio Stadium 103 – 108 (StarHub TV Ch 228 – 233) caters to simulcast of live matches during the BPL season. Following the season finale of the 2013/14 BPL season, there are no longer live matches and no content will be shown on mio Stadium 103 – 108.

    From 12 May 2014, mio Stadium 107 & 108 (StarHub TV Channel 232 & Channel 233) will be removed due to the BPL off peak season as it is no longer required. The channels will be reinstated in August 2014 to cater the simulcast of the BPL matches when the new BPL season commences.

  5. Will the channels (StarHub TV Channel 232 & Channel 233) be reinstated back with BPL matches and when?
    The channels (StarHub TV Channel 232 & Channel 233) will be reinstated in August 2014 to cater the simulcast of the BPL matches when the new BPL season commences.

  6. What will happen to the World Cup channels after the end of 2014 FIFA World CupTM?
    The World Cup channels (StarHub TV Channel 223 & Channel 224)  will be ceased from the 17 July 2014. After the live telecast of the final match on 14 July 2014, customers will be able to catch the repeats of selected World Cup matches till 17 July 2014.

Content

  1. Will there be any matches available on Free-To-Air Channels? If yes, what are the matches available?
    More details of the matches that will be broadcast on Free-to-Air channels will be available at a later date by SingTel once they finalise the discussion with the Free-to-Air provider.

  2. How long will the 2014 FIFA World CupTM channels be available?
    The telecast of the 2014 FIFA World CupTM channels will commence from 13 June to 17 July 2014. If you have signed up before 6 June 2014, you will get to watch the opening ceremony and first match of the FIFA 2014 World CupTM on 13 June 2014.

  3. What World Cup programmes will be shown before and during the World Cup period?
    The live telecast of the opening ceremony followed by first match will be on 13 June 2014 from 1am.

  4. When will most of the games be taking place?
    During the Group stages, most of the ‘live’ games will be taking place at 12am, early morning at 3am or 4am, and at 6am (Singapore time). During the knock-out stages, the matches will be shown at 12am or 4am (Singapore time). The final match will be shown on 3am, 14 July 2014.

Transfer, Suspension & Termination

  1. I’m currently subscribing to mio TV and StarHub TV. How can I move my 2014 FIFA World CupTM subscription to watch on my StarHub TV set-top box?
    You should give your instructions to SingTel, to opt for viewing on StarHub’s set top box. Please ensure that you have your StarHub TV Subscription ID and the NRIC/FIN no. of the StarHub TV subscriber before visiting any SingTel retail shops or contact SingTel Sales hotline to subscribe to FIFA World Cup™ Pack via StarHub TV set-top box.

    For termination of your 2014 FIFA World CupTM subscription via StarHub set-top box, please contact SingTel’s customer care.

  3. I will not be in town for a period. Can I suspend my 2014 FIFA World CupTM subscription during this period?
    As the 2014 FIFA World CupTM occurs only between 13 June 2014 to 14 July 2014, there will be no suspension of your subscription via StarHub set-top box.

  4. I have subscribed for the 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack via my StarHub TV set-top box. Do I need to terminate my 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack subscription after the 17 July? Will I continue to be billed if I did not contact SingTel to terminate my subscription?
    Customers who have subscribed to the 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack do not have to contact SingTel regarding the termination of the pack. The 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack subscription will be automatically terminated from 17 July 2014.

    As customers will only need to pay a one-time subscription fee for the 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack, there will not be additional subscription charges.

  1. Will there be any subscription discounts if I am unable to watch the subscribed 2014 FIFA World CupTM channels on StarHub TV set-top box?
    For discounts regarding your 2014 FIFA World CupTM Pack subscription via StarHub set-top box, please contact SingTel’s customer care.

  2. I am an existing StarHub TV customer subscribing to 2014 FIFA World CupTM and have encountered technical issues. Should I contact StarHub or SingTel?
