Cessation of Eurosport and Setanta FAQs
We are working hard to negotiate a deal which would allow Discovery and StarHub to continue our partnership while offering our customers the same content at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, at this juncture, we are still unsuccessful in renewing the Discovery suite of channels. We seek to give our customers advance notice of potential channel changes. Hence, it is our duty to inform you that Eurosport (HD) and Setanta Sports (HD) will cease transmission at 12pm on 30 June 2018 (unless we are able to come to an agreement with Discovery).
We are working to acquire fresh, replacement content. In the meantime, you can continue to catch the best of ‘Live’ sports programmes such as La Liga, Ligue 1, the National Rugby League, State of Origin, ATP Tennis, BWF, WWE and more in Hub Sports 1 (HD), Hub Sports 2 (HD), Hub Sports 3 (HD) and beIN Sports HD.
There will not be any changes to your subscription as these channels are part of the existing offering on Go Sports.
On 30 June, the last programme on Eurosport (HD) (Ch 212) will be “Amstel Gold Race” from 11am to 12pm and the last programme on Setanta Sports (HD) (Ch 217) will be “Super Rugby 2018 Blues vs Reds" from 11.30am to 1.20pm.
