What is Fibre TV?

Fibre TV is StarHub’s latest TV service. It offers customers a superior experience with High Definition content, interactive features and apps delivered over the next-generation national Fibre Broadband on StarHub.

 

What do I need?

  1. Your house needs to be home reached with Termination Point installed in the house.
  2. StarHub Fibre Broadband subscription is required for subscription to Fibre TV.

Single set-top box set-up

  1. Termination Point is connected directly to the Voice-Enabled Optical Network Terminal (VeONT).
  2. Termination Point needs to be within 2m from your TV and on the same side of the wall. If it is more than 2m away, structure cabling (expose trunking) may be required. Click here and see illustration stated in Point 14.
  3. VeONT will have 2 ports, of which one will be connected to the Fibre TV Set-Top Box and another to the router.


Multiple set-top boxes set-up

  1. Termination Point is connected directly to the Voice-Enabled Optical Network Terminal (VeONT).

  3. VeONT will have 2 ports, of which one will be connected to the IP Switch and another to the router.
  4. The IP Switch will be connected to the Fibre TV Set-Top Box . Additional Cabling/ Data Point(s) will be required for additional set-top box(es)
