Notification to StarHub Cable Vision Ltd of Commencement and Performance of Earthworks

  1. Definition
    1.1 Telecommunication Cables
    All coaxial cables.
  2. Administration Procedure
    2.1 The principals/contractors must purchase the latest plant information from StarHub Cable Vision Ltd for the area of intended earthworks.
    2.2 The contractors must engage licensed TCDW to locate and trace the plant routes before commencement of any earthworks in the vicinity of telecommunication cables.
    2.3 The TCDW must submit the detected plant route information to contractors and service provider and keep a set of records for future reference.
    2.4 Upon receipt of notification, StarHub Cable Vision would response within 7 days, from the time of receipt, with an acknowledgement of notification or response with a need of site visits with principals/contractors for further discussions and consultations.
    2.5 Contractors could proceed with the earthworks on the scheduled commencement dates upon receipt of StarHub Cable Vision 's reply that such earthworks are permitted.
    2.6 Each notification will expire within a month from the date of notification if the intended earthworks are not carried out. Upon expiry, a fresh notification is required from the contractor again to notify StarHub Cable Vision on the new scheduled commencement date.
  3. Submissions And Conditions
    3.1 Notice shall be submitted using the Notice of Commencement of Earthworks form
    3.2 Application shall be sent by post or submitted by hand to StarHub Cable Vision Ltd.
    3.3 Charges to process notice will be $20 each. For consultation work including site inspection, call-outs for cable cuts and other field work required, charges will be $60 for half day or less than 4 hours and $100 for one full day.
    3.4 All documents to accompany Notices e.g. cable detection drawings by licensed TCDW, proposed site plan and work schedule.
    3.5 Conditions and safety measures, if necessary, will be conveyed at the same time in StarHub Cable Vision's response.
    3.6 StarHub Cable Vision reserves the right to add on to given conditions during the duration of earthworks if damage to cable is imminent.
  4. Method Of Payment
    4.1 Payment is to be made by cheque and payable to "StarHub Ltd".
