  1. What is DataRoam Cap @ $100 service?
    DataRoam Cap @ $100 is a roaming tool that ensures customer’s data roaming usage charges will not exceed $100 per month, based on customer’s bill cycle.
  2. Is DataRoam Cap @ $100 service available to all customers?
    DataRoam Cap @ $100 service is available to StarHub postpaid mobile customer who is holding one of the following mobile plans:
    • SmartSurf plan, or
    • i2Surf plan, or
    • PowerValue Plan with MaxMobile/BlackBerry VAS, or
    • MaxMobile DataPack, or
    • BlackBerry DataPack

      and subscribed to one of the following roaming service:
    • International Roaming, or
    • Pay-As-You-Roam
    However, those who have subscribed to DataRoam Monthly Plans or BlackBerry Unlimited DataRoam plan would not be able to subscribe to DataRoam Cap @ $100 service.
  3. What are the charges for subscribing to DataRoam Cap @ $100 service?
    DataRoam Cap @ $100 service is free.
  4. How do I sign up for DataRoam Cap @ $100 service?
    To activate DataRoam Cap @ $100 service via Roam Manager:
    1) Dial *100# and press Send
    2) Reply 3 (Disable or Enable data roam service) and press Send
    3) Reply 3 (Activate DataRoam Cap) and press Send
    4) Reply 1 and press Send

    Alternatively, you can:
    1) Dial *100*88# and press Send
    2) Reply 1 and press Send

    You will receive an activation SMS - Dear customer, you have successfully activated DataRoam Cap @ $100. Thank you.

    Note:
    - Data roaming usages prior to activation SMS will not be taken into calculation.
    - If Roam Manager is not supported by certain overseas operators, please retry with another overseas operator.
  5. My data roaming service is disabled as my data usage reached $100. If I wish to continue to access data, how do I enable my data roaming service?
    To disable DataRoam Cap @ $100 service via Roam Manager:
    1) Dial *100# and press Send
    2) Reply 3 (Disable or Enable data roam service) and press Send
    3) Reply 4 (Deactivate DataRoam Cap) and press Send
    4) Reply 1 and press Send

    Alternatively, you can:
    1) Dial *100*89# and press Send
    2) Reply 1 and press Send

    You will receive a deactivation SMS - Dear customer, you have successfully deactivated DataRoam Cap @ $100. Thank you.
  6. Can I activate DataRoam Cap @ $100 service again after deactivation?
    Yes. You can activate DataRoam Cap @ $100 service again with our Roam Manager (*100#). However, data roaming usage prior to activation SMS will not be taken into calculation so your total roaming usage charge for the 1st month may exceed $100.
  7. When my data roaming is suspended, can I still make roaming voice call or SMS?
    Yes, while your data roaming is suspended, you can still receive or make outgoing voice/video calls and SMS.
  8. I have activated DataRoam Cap @ $100 service and use both my main SIM and MultiSIM to roam overseas. Why am I charged more than $100 for my data roaming usages?
    Our DataRoam Cap @ $100 service is applicable to individual SIM card basis, so data roaming usage is tracked separately for each card. It is advisable to roam with main SIM card only as some roaming operators may not support or recognize the MultiSIM service.
  9. If I have subscribed to DataRoam Cap @ $100 service, will I be able to enjoy the unlimited data surfing with Conexus Mobile Alliance Network?
    Yes. The system will calculate the usage as $15 for the unlimited data surfing you have used for the day on Conexus Mobile Alliance Network.
  10. When my data roaming is suspended, can I access my local data when I am back in Singapore?
    Yes, DataRoam Cap @ $100 will only suspend your data roaming service and not local data access. 
  11. If my data roaming is suspended after reaching the $100 cap, when can I start using my data roaming again?
    DataRoam Cap @ $100 service limits your data roaming charges at $100 per month. Your data roaming usages will be reset on your next bill cycle and you can use your data roaming up to $100 again.
  12. I have activated DataRoam Cap @ $100 service. Why are some of my roaming bill charges exceeding $100 in the bill?
    Your roaming charges may not reach us in time to be reflected in your current bill. If this happens, these charges will be reflected in your next bill. However, please rest assured that your data roaming usage charges are capped at $100, calculated based on your call dates within bill cycle.
  13. Why is my bill showing the data roaming suspension at $95.85 instead of $100?
    As our roaming partners may take a while to pass the mobile usage information to StarHub, so we will suspend your data roaming slightly earlier to ensure your total data roaming cost will not exceed $100.
  14. Is there other ways to manage my data roaming charges?
    Yes, you can access our Roam Manager to manually check your data roaming usage or to suspend/restore your data roaming access. Simply dial *100# to access Roam Manager.
