collaboration with KKBOX
Exclusive perks for Music Anywhere users
Singapore, 5 March 2013 – StarHub today announced the rebranding of its three-year-old online music store as ‘Music Anywhere’, to coincide with the expansion of its digital music offerings in collaboration with KKBOX, the leading provider of digital music subscription services in Asia.
A key feature of StarHub’s revamped online music store is KKBOX’s music streaming service. Come May this year, StarHub’s Music Anywhere will offer music lovers easy access to KKBOX’s extensive catalogue of songs – over 10 million of them from 500 international and local music labels – across their computers and mobile devices, anytime and anywhere.
“Our focus for the year is on growing our business by collaborating with strategic partners who are market leaders in their respective industries, such as KKBOX. These collaborations allow us to pool together expertise, skills and resources with partners to create win-win business models as well as bring benefits to our consumers speedily,” said Ms Lin Shu Fen, Vice President of Home Solutions, StarHub. “We are pleased to have KKBOX, a leading music and entertainment service provider in Asia, on board with us to bolster StarHub’s suite of digital content as well as offer exciting perks to delight our Music Anywhere users.”
KKBOX music service
"KKBOX’s 2013 debut in Singapore speaks volumes for its popularity across Asia, where technological advancements are changing the way people listen to and use music,” said Mr Chris Lin, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder, KKBOX. “Our vision is to bring people together around their shared passion for music in a way that is affordable, highly accessible and enjoyable. Through our partnership with StarHub, a leading info-communications company in Singapore, KKBOX is extending its successful business model from Taiwan to Singapore so as to offer a 360-degree music experience to consumers here, anytime, anywhere.”
Founded in Taiwan, KKBOX is the leading Asian music and entertainment service provider that brings people together and closer to their favourite artistes and music by offering its users unique features such as ‘Listen With’ and ‘Rolling Lyrics’.
· ‘Listen With’ is KKBOX’s interactive social networking platform for music fans to chat with other listeners, celebrities and DJs while tuning in to what they are listening. Among the celebrities taking part in “Listen With” is the popular Taiwanese band Mayday, who set a record by attracting 50,000 listeners when they hosted a show on KKBOX late last year.
· ‘Rolling Lyrics’ turns users’ handset into a mobile jukebox, displaying lyrics that scroll according to the rhythm and tempo of the song for the ultimate karaoke experience.
Exclusive perks for Music Anywhere users

They can also download a full song or an entire music album on their computer.
To celebrate the unveiling of Music Anywhere and partnership with KKBOX, StarHub will be offering Music Anywhere users the chance to get up close and personal with Mayday as well as other popular artistes from Hong Kong and Taiwan later this year. More details will be announced in due course.
