ANC, TFC and Cinema One Global bundled for complete Filipino coverage
Singapore, 18 October 2012 – StarHub TV’s launch of TFC Pack tomorrow will allow Filipinos here to keep up-to-date on current affairs back home. TFC Pack which bundles news, infotainment and entertainment channels from the Philippines, offers Filipinos living and working in Singapore comprehensive coverage of what is cooking in their home country. The pack comprises of ANC (StarHub TV Channel 143), Cinema One Global (StarHub TV Channel 145), and The Filipino Channel (TFC) (StarHub TV Channel 144). Both ANC and TFC are channels from ABN-CBS, the largest media and entertainment company in the Philippines.
Cinema One Global, the latest addition to StarHub’s Filipino offerings will delight avid fans with its 24-hour programming chock-full of Filipino films, teleseryes, celebrities and showbiz gossip. Key channel highlights include blockbusters, classics and indie films covering a tantalising range of genres such as romance/drama, comedy, horror, action, suspense/thriller and family.
ANC, also known as ABS-CBN News Channel, is an established English language news channel dishing out 24/7 ‘live’ coverage with round-the-clock updates and in-depth analysis on key events in the Philippines. Key programme genres include ‘live’ local news, current affairs, business and money matters, talk shows, technology and lifestyle.
The Filipino Channel, a non-stop infotainment channel presented in Tagalog, is an existing channel on StarHub TV. Together, the three Filipino channels from TFC Pack will provide Filipinos with a unique connection to their homeland.
To augment the strong partnership, StarHub co-presented ASAP 2012 with ABN-CBS in Singapore on 14 October 2012. The hugely-popular concert which featured more than 40 A-list Filipino artistes, performed to a 6000 strong audience held at the Max Pavilion. “ASAP has a massive Filipino following here and StarHub is thrilled to work with our valued partner ABS-CBN, to showcase this spectacular concert to our loyal customers. To allow customers to sample the channels, StarHub TV is offering a free preview for ANC, TFC and Cinema One Global, from 9am on 19 October to 12pm on 31 October 2012.
TFC Pack is available as an Add-on Group at a monthly subscription of $23.54 (w/GST). Customers who wish to subscribe to The Filipino Channel (TFC) as a standalone channel can continue to do so at a monthly subscription of $16.05 (w/GST). Customers who crave for on-the-go entertainment, can access TFC via StarHub TV on Mobile. Existing TFC customers can upgrade to TFC Pack to enjoy two additional channels at just $7.49 (w/GST).
