Singapore, 24 August 2012 – StarHub TV is proud to be the home of Bundesliga football in Singapore for three more seasons after concluding a contract extension with broadcast rights-holder DFL Sports Enterprises for up to, and including the 2014/2015 season.

The rights package includes ‘live’ coverage of up to 170 Bundesliga games, the Supercup, weekly match-week previews and an hour-long highlights show. The rights to content for online and mobile platforms are also included.

The Bundesliga is ranked as the third best professional league in Europe (based on UEFA’s country coefficients which is determined the results of each football association's clubs in the five previous UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League seasons). Featuring some of Europe’s most illustrious clubs such as four-time UEFA Champions League winners Bayern Munich and eight-time German title winners Borussia Dortmund, the league also boasts international stars such as Mario Götze, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Philipp Lahm, Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben, Bastian Schweinsteiger.

The Bundesliga runs from August to May and StarHub TV Sports Group customers will be able to watch ‘live’ league matches for the current season on Football Channel (StarHub TV Channel 222) and in high-definition on Sports HD (StarHub TV Channel 255). Delayed telecasts of one match and the highlights programme will also be shown each week on complimentary sports channel SuperSports Arena (StarHub TV Channel 112/201). In addition, match coverage is available on StarHub TV on Mobile. Customers will be able to catch Bundesliga action on TV Anywhere via starhubtv.com in the near future as well.

Football Channel and Sports HD are available as part of StarHub TV’s Sports Group for $12.84 (with GST) per month. The Sports Group is available to StarHub TV customers with at least three Basic Groups. StarHub TV customers with the HubStation, HubStation HD or HD Interactive set-top boxes can subscribe by tuning in to any of the channels in the Sports Group, and pressing the blue button on their remote controls to start viewing the channels instantly. New customers can subscribe by calling 1630.
