Available On Google Play Store & iTunes App Store

Singapore, 4 April 2012 – This year, StarHub, Singapore’s innovative info-communications company, marked several major milestones in its annual reporting. For the first time, StarHub is proud to offer its own annual report app, StarHub Annual Report, on both the Google Play Store and iTunes App Store. This also makes StarHub the first Straits Times Index (STI) component to offer its own annual report app, on both platforms, for smart tablets.

“In recent years, we have seen an increase in the number of attractive smart tablets offered in the market place. We have also seen a corresponding increase in the take-up of such smart tablets, not only in Singapore but globally as well. It is with this mind that we decided to make it easier and convenient for all our shareholders, local and overseas, to view our annual reports anytime, anywhere on their smart tablets,” said Ms Jeannie Ong, Head, Corporate Communications and Investor Relations.

Also, for the first time, we are proud to incorporate a full-fledged sustainability report, integrated into the 2011 Annual Report, based on the Global Reporting Initiative Framework. Calculation of our carbon and water footprints, which was undertaken for the first time, also followed the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and Water Footprint Network standards.

“In line with our initiative to adopt responsible and sustainable practices in our corporate activities, we strongly encourage our shareholders to join us and play a part to minimise the environmental impact. We urge all to download and use the app to view our annual reports instead of requesting for a printed copy,” added Ms Ong.

The StarHub Annual Report app was developed in-house and is a free app. It allows users to browse and experience the StarHub Annual Reports on their Android tablet or iPad. The documents are reproduced in their original full-colour format and allow users to quickly and efficiently consume key corporate content. Features of the app include Library Features (to download and view new or older documents), Multiple Navigation Interfaces ('swipe' through the document and browse via the thumbnails and chapter headings) and Zoom Facility (zoom in through 'pinching').
