Singapore, 3 June 2011 - To raise environmental awareness among employees, StarHub organised a contest for the best 'wall mural design' that conveyed a Green message.

The winning mural design by StarHub employee Phoebe Tan was hand-painted by StarHub volunteers this afternoon at the Spastic Children's Association School (SCAS), ahead of World Environment Day on 5 June 2011.

In addition, StarHub donated $200,000 from its Sparks Fund to SCAS. The donation will go towards supporting professional services and resources in the areas of education, vocation and social integration of persons with cerebral palsy and related disabilities.

Ms Jeannie Ong, StarHub's Head of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations said, "StarHub is committed to environmental protection and sustainability and continues to engage both its employees and the community at large on Green issues. We are pleased to spread the message of Green through a wall mural design contest, and at the same time, benefit the children of SCAS by livening up their learning environment and encouraging them to think about what going Green means to them."

Since StarHub was established in 2000, the company has donated over $7 million to help the less fortunate in Singapore.
