~Catch The Clash of the Divas in “War and Beauty”~

The free preview of VV Drama is timed to coincide with the channel’s premiere of the hit TVB serial “War and Beauty”. The serial ranked as one of TVB’s most popular dramas, when it was aired in Hong Kong last year.

Filmed on location in Beijing’s Forbidden City, and boasting a production budget of over HK$10 million, “War and Beauty” stars the stellar cast of Charmaine Sheh, Maggie Cheung, Gigi Lai, Sheren Tang, Bowie Lam and Moses Chan. The drama swept all major awards at TVB’s 35th Anniversary Awards Ceremony last year.

Set in the Qing Dynasty, “War and Beauty” tells of palace feuds, where corrupt officials and eunuchs manipulate the royal women to achieve personal wealth and power. In “War and Beauty”, imperial concubines use the Emperor’s influence to bring wealth and power to their clans and exact revenge and destruction on their enemies.

The exploits of the characters in “War and Beauty” have been heatedly discussed in online forums, as many viewers see the feuding and shifting alliances of the imperial women as a metaphor for office politics.

Other exciting programmes that viewers can look forward to on VV Drama include:
