Singapore, 17 May 2004 – StarHub, Singapore’s innovative info-communications provider, and Nokia today announced that the popular “always on” BlackBerry® email service is now available on the innovative Nokia 6820 handset. The handset, featuring BlackBerry Connect™ from Research In Motion, is available for StarHub’s corporate customers from 18 May 2004.

 

This new offering - a first in Singapore - integrates the unique and convenient “push” technology of BlackBerry into Nokia's sophisticated design form factor This latest BlackBerry innovation simply means that StarHub’s business customers can use the same, secure, push-based wireless infrastructure, that currently supports over one million BlackBerry users, to access corporate email through a Nokia handset.

In addition to providing access to corporate email through BlackBerry Connect, the key features of the Nokia 6820 include:

·         User-friendly interface with a full QWERTY keyboard when the phone is flipped open and five way scroll;

·         Integrated camera and hands-free speaker phone;

·         Bluetooth technology;

·         The ability to multitask through easy access to applications while managing a phone call;

·         Tri-band on 900/1800/1900 MHz GSM/GPRS networks for global coverage;

·         Downloadable applications such as dictionary, language translator, expense tracker, etc.
