Singapore, 2 July 2004 – Indosat, Indonesia’s leading telecommunication and information provider and StarHub, Singapore’s innovative info-communications provider, today announced the launch of a cost effective IP-VPN service targeted at companies operating between Singapore and Batam.
The Indosat-StarHub IP-VPN service provides a cost-effective, scaleable and multi-point connectivity for companies that need higher quality connections to meet the exponential growth expected in data telecommunications services between these two markets. With this service, companies are able to leverage on Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology that will ensure fully meshed network configurations, high security and prioritisation capabilities.
Previously, both companies have launched a direct International Private Leased Circuits (IPLC) link between Singapore and Batam, as well as enhanced connectivity between StarHub’s Global IP Transit Services and Indosat’s satellite network.
