Latest findings show Cartoon Network has a reach of 65% of children in cabled homes in December 2003
Singapore, 26 January 2004 - Turner Entertainment Networks Asia Pacific (TENA) has appointed StarHub as its official advertising sales representative in Singapore. StarHub will be responsible for Cartoon Network’s local airtime sales and programme sponsorships. Cartoon Network, on Channel 35, is one of the channels making up StarHub CableTV's Kids Basic Group.
Working closely with Cartoon Network's sales team in Hong Kong, StarHub will develop integrated marketing solutions and branding opportunities over Cartoon Network’s local airtime, for advertisers in Singapore.
"With StarHub's local expertise and Cartoon Network’s creative marketing solutions, this new partnership will lead to exciting and innovative advertising opportunities for clients to advertise in Singapore," said Mr Soumitra Saha, Vice President, Regional Advertising and Licensing Sales, Turner Entertainment Networks Asia Pacific.
"Our advertising clients will benefit tremendously from the addition of Cartoon Network to our family of channels as they can now more effectively target a substantial pool of children and teenagers in Singapore. This will invariably provide advertisers with a competitive edge in their overall marketing initiatives," said Mr Patrick Lim, StarHub's Director of Advertising Sales and Multimedia.
Cartoon Network is the number one children’s channel in Singapore, reaching 65% of children (4 – 14 year olds) in cabled homes in December 2003, according to the latest findings from Nielsen Media Research.
