StarHub To Repackage METAmessage® Solution For Enterprise Users Of BlackBerry® Handhelds

3GSM, Cannes, France, and Singapore, February 24, 2004 - StarHub, Singapore’s leading info-communications provider, and Onset Technology, a leading developer of enterprise access software for wireless handheld devices, today announced that they have entered into a partnership agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, StarHub will offer Onset’s METAmessage® Basic to its customers that use BlackBerry® handhelds from Research In Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM; TSX:RIM). This first-in-market service in Singapore, to be known as StarHub OfficePlus, is expected to be available from March 2004.

With StarHub OfficePlus, StarHub’s BlackBerry business customers will be able to print, fax and access documents on corporate networks, from over 70 GPRS roaming destinations. They will also be able to view graphical attachments and spell check outgoing messages.

"StarHub mobile customers have been enjoying the highly popular BlackBerry solution that we brought in since May last year. Our customers have been able to stay constantly connected to important emails, enhancing their competitiveness and productivity, even when they are overseas. Emails are pushed to them anywhere - locally and abroad," said Mr Chan Kin Hung, Head of Mobile Services, StarHub. "Now by adding in Onset’s solution, our BlackBerry business customers have even more beneficial tools to further increase their productivity levels. For instance, they can print and fax even while overseas. It is like carrying a fax cum printer in their pocket. BlackBerry has gone way beyond email and now functions just like a mobile office."

"StarHub has clearly demonstrated its commitment to provide innovative, world-class services at competitive prices on their robust network," said Mr Eyran Blumberg, Onset’s Vice President of products. "They are a great organization to work with - at every step, meeting the customers’ needs is their top priority, and their technical implementations are consistently outstanding."
