Singapore, 13 August 2003 - StarHub and 7-Eleven jointly announced today that all StarHub customers will now be able to pay their StarHub bills at all 7-Eleven outlets located island-wide. This means that StarHub customers will be able to visit any of the 185 7-Eleven outlets located throughout Singapore, and make payment for their mobile/IDD, cable TV and/or online services (dial-up and broadband) bills regardless of the time of day. Payment can be made via cash, cashcard and NETS.
Said Ms Tham Loke Kheng, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Consumer Markets, "As a customer-centric company, our customers’ needs have always come first. We are always on the look out, not only to provide innovative services for our customers, but also to ensure that our customers enjoy maximum convenience and satisfaction with us. We are happy to partner with 7-Eleven so that our customers can have the added ability to conveniently make payment for all their bills at any nearby 7-Eleven outlet."
StarHub is the first to work with 7-Eleven to provide a convenient one-stop shop for payment of all StarHub info-communications services, including mobile, IDD, cable TV and online services (dial-up and broadband). Previously, customers were also able to make payment via cash or NETS (at StarHub shops/Customer Service Centres), cheques, AXS stations, post offices, GIRO, credit card, or Citibank phone/Internet Banking.
"Being the largest chain of convenience stores in Singapore, we can serve our customers better by providing more services in addition to our wide range of products and the many promotions organised. With today’s busy lifestyle, StarHub subscribers can come into any of our 185 stores, anytime of the day (except Express stores operating from 7am to 11pm) and receive personalised bill payment service from our counter staff. We provide convenience in terms of location, time, the acceptance of various modes of payment and at the same time being served by our staff." Said Mr Benjamin Eng, General Manager, 7-Eleven.
StarHub and 7-Eleven have also jointly launched a lucky draw promotion for all existing StarHub customers (terms and conditions apply). To qualify, StarHub customers need to make payment for their StarHub bills via any 7-Eleven outlets during the qualifying period from now till 31 October 2003. Ten lucky winners will subsequently be selected and have their bill (amount based on the selected bill that he/she had paid for at the 7-Eleven outlet) paid for by StarHub and 7-Eleven!
Added Ms Tham, "With the island-wide reach of 7-Eleven outlets, StarHub customers will now enjoy the added convenience of paying their bills within their neighbourhood. This latest initiative is just one of many that StarHub will continue to bring to our customers, to make their experience with us an enjoyable one."
