Singapore, 26 October 2001 -- Have a cuppa and some Belgium chocolates while you wait. Or get down and personal with the various interactive services that StarHub has to offer! This is what StarHub customers will enjoy with the launch of its new Customer Service Centre, which was officially opened today. Occupying 2,200 square feet, the Centre is located on the ground floor of the StarHub Centre at Cuppage Road.


Said Mr K C Lai, General Manager of StarHub’s Consumer Market, "The Right Customer Experience forms the cornerstone of StarHub's creed in delighting our customers. We want customers to feel comfortable the moment they come in, enjoy the interactive services and leave with a big smile on their faces. We have therefore designed the centre to reflect the free flow and full suite of services that our customers can enjoy."


Open from 9am to 9pm daily, the Centre boasts a Zen concept with its open and airy approach. It offers a comprehensive suite of services, including 10 customer service stations, Net surfing facilities and two 42-inch plasma screen TVs for light entertainment. Customers can check out the retail corner to purchase handphone accessories and browse at the high-tech corner for sneak peeks at up-and-coming products and services.


Those who wish to recharge their Siemens/Nokia mobile phones can rent portable chargers from the Centre. While waiting to be served, customers can also surf the Web or access their email with their laptops or IPAQs via StarHub’s wireless Internet services. For customers who prefer speaking to StarHub’s Customer Care Consultants in private, they may do so in the cosy VIP room. Customers can also pay URA and HDB bills at the AXS self-service terminal located near the entrance of the Centre.


"We recognize that customers prefer a one-stop shop service which addresses all their needs and minimize their travelling time. Our Centre was therefore designed such that customers can not only pay their mobile and other bills, have their mobile phones repaired, see the latest gadgets and also enjoy the delights that we have in store for them!" added Mr Lai.


Other soft personal touches include StarHub Belgium chocolates and sweets and also a variety of hot drinks such as tea and cappuccino, which are personally served to customers by StarHub staff.


In line with the launch, StarHub has also increased the size of the repair team from two technicians to five. Loan mobile phones will also be made available to customers to ensure that they continue to enjoy StarHub’s mobile services whilst their mobile phones are being repaired.
