Residential, Business and Mobile Customers will Benefit
Singapore, 7 April 2000 -- StarHub, Singapore’s new info-communication player, announced today that it is extending its special 50% savings offer on its IDD 008 service for all customers who use IDD 008 for their international calls on their business, home and mobile phones from now until 14 May 2000.
Peter Kaliaropoulos, StarHub’s Senior Vice President for Commercial Operations, said the offer is being made to thank Singapore for its overwhelming response to StarHub’s IDD 008.
"We have received a very positive response of more than 230,000 registrations since we started our pre-registration exercise on 26 January 2000. This number is more than double our original target of 100,000 pre-registrants. We experienced a surge in demand from 22 March when we first announced the 50% discount off our IDD rates for the month of April. The majority of the registration forms we received have already been processed. However, there are still some forms outstanding and our staff are working around the clock to process the remaining forms. StarHub is extending our 50% discount offer for a longer period so that more customers can enjoy the savings," Mr. Kaliaropoulos added.
