Terms & Conditions - Wireless@SG


  1. In addition to these Service Specific Terms & Conditions, the use of the Wireless@SG Service (“Service”) is subject to StarHub's General Consumer Terms & Conditions, and any other Terms & Conditions that you and we may have agreed to from time to time. You may view our complete list of the applicable Terms & Conditions at Legal Notices & Terms.
  2. Customers will be entitled to enjoy the Service for free from 1 April 2014 to 31 March 2017, regardless of the time of application. We reserve the right, however, to impose charges for the Service at any time during this period or thereafter, in view of prevailing customer and commercial needs, or for any other reason.
  3. You shall comply with the registration and application procedures prior to using the Service, including express acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
  4. For better security, customers with devices that support SSA and EAP-SIM are advised to use these authentication mechanisms as their preferred login method. Customers whose client devices do not support WPA or WPA 2 are advised to use the SSL VPN service provided by operators to secure their connections.
  5. You acknowledge and accept that as with any network, actual data transfer speed experienced by you when using the Service is affected by many factors for which we are not responsible, including without limitation:-
    1. overall network traffic condition;
    2. type of data accessed, whether non-cached or cached data;
    3. location and configuration of the accessed server;
    4. performance characteristics of each component of the data network, the number of users and the extent of all users' compliance with such conditions and requirements as set out by us; and
    5. the performance characteristics  and location of wireless devices or other equipment used to receive the Service including but not limited to distance, physical environment such as walls, pillars, tunnel, walk ways, reflective surfaces,  encryption standards, interference of other electronic devices and congested wireless channels.
  6. We do not warrant or give any guarantee on data transfer speed or any other aspect of the Service. We hereby exclude all warranties, whether express or implied by law, regarding the use of the Service (including without limitation the accessibility, reliability or accuracy of the Service) and the performance and/or condition of the Network.
  7. StarHub may, at its sole discretion, reject any application for the Service.
  8. StarHub reserves the right to terminate your account at any time due to breach of or non-compliance with any applicable terms and conditions.
  9. StarHub may, at its sole discretion, discontinue and/or suspend the Service, or any part thereof, at any time without any liability whatsoever to you.
  10. StarHub reserves the right to revise these Service Specific Terms & Conditions at its discretion from time to time. We endeavour, where reasonably practicable, to give you reasonable advance notice of such changes. We will notify you of such changes through written notice, electronic mail, our website or such other form as we may deem appropriate. You agree that the display of any revised terms and conditions on our website will constitute notice of the changes. Your continued use of the Service will constitute acceptance of the changes.
