Terms & Conditions - TVG Alert Me Service


In this Section, Services refer to TVG Alert Me services provided by StarHub Ltd (Reg. No. 199802208C) and Equipment refers to the handset or other Equipment which you use to obtain or access the Services.

  1. The service is a complimentary service available to all users of StarHub’s TV Guide (“Users”), provided via an SMS alert (“Alert Me SMS”). Users who are not StarHub subscribers will only be able to use this Service on a complimentary basis for a limited period as may be determined by us.
  2. Each User of the Alert Me SMS Service will be allowed to send SMS alerts to up to five (5) mobile numbers per day.
  3. To activate the Alert Me SMS service, you must enter the One-Time-Password (OTP) within twenty-four (24) hours of receiving the OTP via SMS. If the OTP has expired, you will need to request for a new OTP at www.starhub.com/tvguide.
  4. Users may unsubscribe to the Alert Me SMS Service by the following means :
    1. StarHub Mobile customers: If you are a StarHub Mobile customer, you may unsubscribe to the Service by sending an SMS with “tv<space>unsub” to 90245137.
    2. Other Users: If you are not a StarHub Mobile customer you may unsubscribe to the Service at tvguide.starhub.com > Alert Me.
  5. No warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, is made in relation to the availability, satisfactory quality and reliability of the Service. We will not be liable for any interruption, disruption to or deterioration in the quality, reliability or accuracy of the Service or any technical issue that may arise by reason of the User’s use or inability to use this Service.
  6. We do not verify the accuracy of mobile phone numbers or email addresses used by you in conjunction with this Service and shall not be liable for the same.
  7. You will not use or allow any part of the Services to be used for any fraudulent, illegal or improper purposes or to violate anybody's rights or in any way which may affect other users' enjoyment of or access to any Service or cause annoyance, harassment, irritation, inconvenience or anxiety to anyone.
  8. You must indemnify us, our Affiliates, employees, directors and agents against all claims, damages, losses and liabilities resulting from your use (or misuse) of the Services, and your negligence, omission, act or breach of this Agreement.
  9. This Service is also subject to our General Terms & Conditions.
  10. We may from time to time change any of these Terms & Conditions and/or such other Terms & Conditions agreed to or accepted by you. We may also from time to time withdraw, suspend, or change the Service or any part thereof. Such changes will take effect as from such date as we may determine. We will notify you of such changes through written notice, electronic mail, the StarHub website or such other form as we may deem appropriate. You agree that the display of the revised Terms & Conditions on StarHub’s website will constitute notice of the changes. You continued use of the Service will constitute acceptance of the changes.
