Terms & Conditions - Recurring Credit Card Payment Arrangement.

 

  1. The information given in the application (“Application”) for recurring payment of StarHub bills by credit card (“Recurring Payment Arrangement”) will supersede all relevant information relating to the relevant StarHub account holder (“Customer”) or credit/debit cardholder (“Cardholder”) StarHub has in our systems.
  2. By signing up for the Recurring Payment Arrangement, the Customer and the Cardholder agree to StarHub debiting the relevant credit/debit card for all charges billed to the relevant StarHub account as nominated. This Recurring Payment Arrangement will continue to be in effect until Customer notifies StarHub in writing to terminate it, or StarHub receives a notification from the Cardholder’s card issuing bank (“Bank”). StarHub reserves the right to terminate the Recurring Payment Arrangement at any time in our discretion. For approved new Applications, this authorisation will take effect from the Customer’s next billing cycle.
  3. A system generated letter of notification will be sent upon approval.
  4. The Customer shall pay any current outstanding balance via other payment methods until the Recurring Payment Arrangement takes effect.
  5. The Customer will see in their bill “Total outstanding balance will be deducted from your Credit Card <account no.> on <due date>.” once the Recurring Payment Arrangement is in effect.
  6. If we are unable to make the deduction or settlement with the Bank for any reason whatsoever, the Customer shall remain liable to StarHub for the charges under the StarHub Account Number(s) on the Application. Further, we will not be liable to the Customer or the Cardholder for any charges incurred on the credit/debit card as a result of our deductions as authorized herein.
  7. In the event of unsuccessful recurring credit/debit card deduction by the Bank, the Cardholder shall contact the Bank for further clarification.
  8. The Recurring Payment Arrangement will be terminated if the deduction is unsuccessful with the same rejection reason from the Bank for two consecutive billing cycles.
  9. In the event that the StarHub bill is paid by a consenting third party Cardholder, StarHub shall take written instructions from the Customer only, including but not limited to payment instructions and services subscribed to.
  10. If you send the application form to StarHub by email, the Customer is responsible for ensuring the security of the application form in transmission and StarHub shall have no liability in respect thereof.
  11. By submitting this Application, the Customer and the Cardholder agree to StarHub, the Bank and StarHub’s agents (including but not limited to StarHub’s acquiring bank) collecting, using and disclosing their personal data for the purposes of processing and administering the Recurring Payment Arrangement, including arranging payments and refunds.
  12. StarHub refers to StarHub Ltd and/or the relevant Affiliate providing the particular service, as set out in the StarHub Consumer Terms & Conditions.
