Terms & Conditions - Prepaid Data Plans Specific


  1. General
    1. The use of the Prepaid Data Plans are subject to StarHub's Consumer General Terms & Conditions, and any other terms and conditions that you and we may have agreed to from time to time. You may view our terms and conditions at Legal Notices & Terms.
    2. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between the applicable terms and conditions, the documents shall be construed in the following order of precedence:
      1. Service Specific Terms & Conditions for Prepaid Data Plans;
      2. Service Specific Terms & Conditions for Mobile Data Services;
      3. Service Specific Terms & Conditions for Mobile Services; and
      4. General Consumer Terms & Conditions.
  2. Prepaid Data Plans
    1. The following Prepaid Data Plans, and such other Prepaid Data Plans as may be notified by us from time to time, are available until further notice by us:

    1. You may apply for the available Prepaid Data Plans if you meet the following eligibility criteria:
      1. you have a valid StarHub Prepaid SIM Card with voice capability; and
      2. you have sufficient credits in your StarHub Prepaid SIM Card to cover the Charges of the relevant Prepaid Data Plan.
    2. We may decline, or refuse the acceptance of your application for any or all of the Prepaid Data Plans, at our sole discretion and without any obligation to give you a reason for our decision.
    3. Each Prepaid Data Plan will commence from the time of activation. Upon activation, we will send you an SMS confirming the activation and stating the time at which the Prepaid Data Plan will expire.
    4. The duration of all Prepaid Data Plans will be calculated on a 24-hour clock cycle based on our recorded time of activation.
  1. Applicable Limits
    1. There are certain maximum limits to the Prepaid Data Plans that we can provide to you on a cumulative basis under one prepaid account, regardless of the number of Prepaid Data Plans that you have procured and paid for. The maximum limits are:
      1. 100GB for all Prepaid Data Plans; and
      2. 30 days from the date of the purchase of the last Prepaid Data Plan.
    2. As we do not monitor such maximum limits, please check if you are likely to exceed the maximum limits before proceeding to procure an additional Prepaid Data Plan.
    3. No refunds will be given to you for any Prepaid Data Plan that you have paid for that exceeds any applicable maximum limit.
  2. Use
    1. You may only use the Prepaid Data Plans for data access and within our network in Singapore and for data roaming in Happy Roam destinations.
  3. Payment
    1. You must make full payment of each Prepaid Data Plan once activation is successful. There will be no refund of such payment regardless of whether or not the Prepaid Data Plan has been fully utilized.
  4. Expiry and Termination
    1. Upon expiry or termination of any Prepaid Data Plan, all unused data remaining in the Prepaid Data Plan at the time of expiry or terminate, will be forfeited, without any refund and without further notice to you.
  5. Others
    1. We reserve the right to revise these Service Specific Terms & Conditions at our discretion from time to time. We endeavour, where reasonably practicable, to give you reasonable advance notice of such changes. You agree that the display of any revised terms and conditions on our website will constitute notice of the changes. Your continued use of the Mobile Prepaid Plans will constitute acceptance of the changes.

Terms & Conditions - Unlimited Social Messaging Service for Prepaid Mobile ("Terms")
  1. General
    • In addition to these Terms, the use of the Unlimited Social Messaging Service ("the Service") is subject to StarHub's Consumer General Terms & Conditions, Service Specific Terms and Conditions for Prepaid Mobile and Prepaid Mobile Data Plans and any other promotional terms and conditions that you may have agreed to from time to time.
  2. Eligibility,
    • You will be eligible for the Service if:
      • (a) you are a Prepaid Mobile subscriber with a mobile SIM Card. You will not be eligible for the Service if you are using a Prepaid Internet SIM Card; and
      • (b) you have an on-going subscription for any Prepaid Mobile data plan. eg Short Term Plan or Long Expiry Plan or the Happy Data 30 plan ("Data Plan"). 
    • You will need to activate the Service by using any of the activation modes prescribed by us from time to time.
    • You will receive an SMS confirming activation of the Service before proceeding to the use of the Service in accordance with these Terms.
  3. Free Service
    • Once you have successfully activated the Service, the Service will automatically commence when you have exhausted the entire data capacity in the Data Plan (including the free bundled/bonus credits (if any))  that you have purchased and will end automatically when such purchased Data Plan expires.  
    • For the avoidance of any doubt, you will be charged the prevailing pay per use rates for use of data, upon expiry of your purchased Data Plan or when you have not purchased any Data Plan.
    • The Service will be free of charge during the time when the Service is made available to you in accordance with these Terms.
    • Subject to these Terms and our fair usage policy, the Service is offered to you on an unlimited basis during its period of availability.
    • You will be liable for charges incurred in connection with the Service if you do not comply with these Terms.
  4.  Limitation of Service
    • The Service is for your personal use and you can only use the Service in Singapore within StarHub’s network range. While roaming overseas, prevailing data roaming charges will apply.
    • You cannot use the Service for video streaming, video/voice access over internet and for sending of pictures and images.
    • You will need a data enabled mobile device to use the Service.
    • The Service is offered only as a data plan and you are responsible to download the relevant third party mobile application for messaging service as you deem appropriate. We are not liable to you for any limitations of such third party mobile applications.
  5. Termination
    • You may de-activate the Service anytime by using any of the de-activation modes prescribed by us from time to time.
    • We reserve the right to discontinue the Service anytime we deem necessary.
    • We reserve the right to terminate the Service if you abuse the Service or use the Service for any illegitimate or unauthorised purpose.
  6. General
    • The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis and you agree that the use of the Services is at your sole risk. We expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, and fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent allowed by law. No advice or information whether oral or written, obtained by you from us or through the Service will create any warranty not expressly set out in this Agreement.
    • We will not be liable for any interruption, disruption to or deterioration in the quality, reliability or accuracy of the Service or for any loss (including of data) that may arise by reason of your use or inability to use the Service.
    • You agree to fully indemnify us against all claims, damages, losses and liabilities arising from information provided by you for the purpose of registration for the Service, the use of the Service (whether by yourself or any other person) and any negligence, omission, act or breach of these Terms or any applicable StarHub terms & conditions.
    • We reserve the right to revise these Terms at any time without prior notice. The amended Terms shall be posted on our website and shall take effect from the date they are posted on our website.
