Terms & Conditions - StarHub Mobile Prepaid SIM card

 

  1. Services
    1. Under this section, “Services” refer to mobile prepaid services provided by StarHub Mobile Pte Ltd (company registration no. 200000646C).
    2. The use of the Services are subject to StarHub's General Consumer Terms & Conditions, Service Specific Terms & Conditions, and any other terms and conditions that you and we may have agreed to from time to time.
    3. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between any provision of the General Terms & Conditions and Service Specific Terms & Conditions, the documents shall be construed in the following order of precedence:
          (a) Service Specific Terms & Conditions; and
          (b) General Terms & Conditions.
    4. In order to use the Services, you must apply via our application form. Your application will be subject to our acceptance at our absolute discretion.
    5. You will require an activated SIM card to use the Services. We will activate the SIM card upon the completion of our successful registration.
    6. The SIM card validity is subject to type of SIM card purchased. If you wish to extend the SIM card’s validity period, you must top-up the SIM card before its stipulated expiry date.
    7. If your SIM card is lost, stolen or damaged, you may get it replaced at any of our selected shops and our prevailing replacement Charge shall apply. Such replacement Charge currently stands at $26.75 (inclusive of 7% GST) and may be subject to change at such rate as may be prescribed by us from time to time.
    8. When you replace your SIM card, you may opt to retain your existing prepaid mobile number and balance credits.
    9. You agree that SIM cards once sold, are non-refundable or exchangeable for cash or any products and/or services. There are no refunds for any unused balance credits for SIM card loss, damage, expiry, termination, or change in prepaid mobile number.
    10. 1.10You agree to use the Services in accordance with our policies, guidelines, instructions, notices and directions as may be prescribed by us from time to time.
    11. We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions (including Charges) at our absolute discretion and without notice. Your continued use of the Services shall constitute your acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and any amendments thereof.
    12. We reserve the right to withdraw, revise or otherwise amend the Services, Happy Prepaid SIM cards, top up cards and their Terms & Conditions at our absolute discretion and/or to terminate any user without prior notice.
  2. FREE Local/Global SMS Daily
    1. This is a promotion that is available until such date as may be notified by us.
    2. Local SMS sent can be from both FREE bundled SMS and/or chargeable SMS from your Happy Prepaid account.
    3. SMS sent must all be local or Global SMS to be awarded the 10 FREE Local or 50 Global SMS. The FREE SMS cannot be a combination of Local SMS and Global SMS.
    4. You will only be awarded 10 FREE Local or 50 Global SMS once each day when you have sent 5 local and/or Global SMS.
    5. FREE Local SMS awarded before 2200pm within the day must be utilized by 2359pm within the same day. Otherwise, any unused FREE SMS will be forfeited and will not be carried forward to the next day. SMS awarded after 2200pm will be valid till 2359pm the next day. Unused FREE SMS will not be carried forward to the next day.
    6. FREE Global SMS awarded must be used by 2359pm on the same day you are awarded. All unused FREE SMS for the day will be forfeited and will not be carried forward to the next day.
    7. We may amend, vary or withdraw this promotion at any time with or without notice to you.
    8. In addition to these Terms & Conditions, StarHub’s consumer General Terms & Conditions and the relevant Service Specific Terms & Conditions shall apply. Use of the Service will constitute acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and any amendments thereof.
  3. 20-Day FREE Incoming Calls
    1. This is a promotion that makes available FREE Incoming Calls for a period of 20 days from the date of the relevant top-up (“the Validity Period”) subject to the terms and conditions set out in this clause.
    2. This promotion is valid until such date as may be determined by us.
    3. Only StarHub Prepaid customers who have made a top-up of a minimum of $18 and above to their main wallet account are eligible to participate in this Promotion. Customers on Senior's Plan will be eligible for this promotion at a later date to be notified by us.
    4. This promotion is applicable for local incoming voice calls only.
    5. Eligible StarHub Prepaid customers must perform a top-up of at least $18 to enjoy this promotion for the Validity Period.
    6. If you wish to continue to enjoy FREE Incoming Calls for another 20-day period, you may extend the Validity Period by performing another top-up of at least $18 before the expiry of the first Validity Period.
    7. In the event that multiple top-ups of at least $18 each are performed, you can continue to enjoy the FREE Incoming Calls for the relevant FREE Incoming Calls Validity Periods on a cumulative basis, up to a maximum of 60 days at any one time.
    8. We may amend, vary or withdraw this promotion at any time with or without notice to you.
    9. In addition to these Terms & Conditions, StarHub’s consumer General Terms & Conditions and the relevant Service Specific Terms & Conditions shall apply. Use of the Service will constitute acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and any amendments thereof.
  4. Bonus Credit
    1. Bonus Credit is a promotion that comes with top-up. It is valid for a period of 30 days from the date of relevant top-up.
    2. Bonus Credit differs for top-up denominations and location/channel of top-up. You may refer to the top-up bonus page for more details.
    3. Bonus Credit can be utilised for data, local calls, local SMS, IDD calls and pay-per-use data only.
    4. We may amend, vary or withdraw this promotion at any time with or without notice to you.
  5. On-Demand Unlimited Incoming Calls value-added service
    1. On-Demand Unlimited Incoming Calls feature is open to all StarHub Mobile Happy Prepaid customers.
    2. A fee of 59¢ will apply for each activation (including re-activation) of On-Demand Unlimited Incoming Calls feature.
    3. A daily deduction of 59¢ will apply upon activation of On-demand Unlimited Incoming Calls feature.
    4. A minimum of $1 after the necessary deduction is required to activate On-Demand Unlimited Incoming Calls and to keep the on-demand FREE Incoming Calls status active.
    5. On-Demand Unlimited Incoming Calls feature is only applicable to calls received in Singapore.
    6. In addition to these Terms & Conditions, the Service is also subject to StarHub’s consumer General Terms & Conditions and applicable Service Specific Terms & Conditions.
    7. We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions (including pricing) at our absolute discretion and without notice. Use of the Service will constitute acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and any amendments thereof.
  6. Existing 20-Day FREE Incoming Calls subscriber
    1. If you are an existing subscriber of the On-Demand Unlimited Incoming Calls value-added service, the daily subscription fee will not be charged during the 20-Day FREE Incoming Calls Validity Period.
    2. Upon expiry of the 20-Day FREE Incoming Calls Validity Period, the prevailing subscription fee (currently at $0.59 per day) for the On-Demand Unlimited Incoming Calls value-added service shall resume automatically unless you make another top-up amount of at least $18.
  7. Happy Stars Top-Up Card Customers
    1. If you have topped up your prepaid card with $17 Happy Stars or $25 Happy Stars Plus top up cards before or after you have performed a top-up of at least $18, the 30-day FREE incoming calls under the Happy Stars top-up will take precedence.
    2. Upon expiry of the Happy Stars top up card 30-day FREE incoming calls period, the 20-Day FREE Incoming Calls promotion will continue until the expiry of the free service.
  8. Per Second Billing
    1. This is a promotion that will be available until such date as may be notified by us.
    2. First minute block charging applies. Billing for local voice call is based on 1st minute (or part thereof) at 22¢, and 8¢ per minute thereafter on a per second basis. Per second rates are rounded up to 2 decimal points.
  9. Happy Travel SIM card
    1. Happy Travel SIM card contains the following local Data/Outgoing Calls/SMS, IDD 018 minutes and Roaming Data which will be valid for 7 or 12 days, depending on your choice of plan:
      • IDD 018 minutes is applicable for dialing from Singapore. To use it, you need to:
        Dial 018 > Country Code > Area Code > Telephone Number,
      • Local Data/Outgoing Call/SMS are applicable for use in Singapore and only within StarHub’s Network only;
      Roaming data is applicable for use in Singapore or within Happy Roam destinations with our preferred partners’ network only. For a list of our Happy Roam destinations, please refer to http://www.starhub.com/personal/mobile/mobile-phones-plans/prepaid-cards/happy-roam.html or such other link as we may prescribe from time to time; and
      • Unlimited Incoming Call service is only applicable to calls received in Singapore.

          (collectively, “Benefits”)
    2. All Benefits will expire at 2359pm on the 7th or 12th day (as the case may be) and any and all unused Benefits shall immediately and automatically lapse, forfeited and cannot be carried forward and cannot be converted or exchanged into cash, credits or otherwise.
    3. You may top up or add credits or add roaming data before the expiry date of the SIM card.
    4. In addition to these Terms & Conditions, StarHub’s consumer General Terms & Conditions and the relevant Service Specific Terms & Conditions shall apply. Use of the Service will constitute acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and any amendments thereof.
