In recognition of our efforts to develop and engage employees to drive business excellence, StarHub was awarded the People Developer (PD) certification in 2016.

Employee Education and Satisfaction

Based on HR annual surveys to measure employee satisfaction, more than 91% of participants are happy with the effectiveness of our people initiatives and policies.

To further integrate sustainability into our organisation, employees are also engaged through volunteering and educational opportunities on environmental and social issues.

StarHub Cyber Security Centre of Excellence (COE)

Moving towards a Smart Nation, StarHub has established the Cyber Security COE as a hub to help strengthen Singapore’s capabilities in cyber security through talent development, innovation and industry partnerships.

The new facility opened in 2017 provides opportunities to help Singapore transform into a vibrant and connected Smart Nation by accelerating service innovation and co-creation with partners and customers.

StarHub’s sustainability reporting

Our sustainability report serves as a strong management tool to drive improvement and communicate with stakeholders on our performance and enhance awareness towards sustainability. It is through recognising and measuring our impact that we hope to expand on our current efforts and develop more ways in which we can minimise that impact for more sustainable operations.

Since FY2011, StarHub has included fully-fledged Sustainability Reports in our Annual Reports.

Our sustainability report is prepared in line with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards adopting more indicators from latest GRI guidelines and following globally recognised frameworks. Stakeholder engagement has also been expanded, so as to pave the way for more in-depth monitoring and assessment of our value chain.

These endeavours enabled us to establish a baseline against which we could measure our future performance.
